We provide a wide range of services in a supportive and empowering environment. We offer individuals the opportunity to enhance their life skills and build emotional strength to lead an active life back in their own community.
Our person-centered care and support plans encourage individuals to choose areas of interests that will promote positive mental health and an all round feeling of well being. Wherever possible, social and community integration is promoted - our team works pro-actively, supporting access to local leisure and recreational facilities, local or regional events and further education courses.

Services
We provide and operate an admissions procedure, which follows the guidelines set out in Home Life - The Code of Practice for Residential Care and which is also part of our Quality Control Programme. Prior to admission a trained member of staff from the Home will carry out an Assessment of Needs. A prospective client will only be accepted if the manager feels confident that the Home can adequately meet those needs.
ACL Homes currently run two Mental Health Residential Care Homes and two Supported Living Houses situated in the pleasant sea-side town of Folkestone, Kent, in South East England. The Residential Care Homes buildings have been named 'Arthur Court' and 'Camelot Lodge', both are located practically opposite each other on Christchurch Road.
Entering a residential home necessarily involves some degree of sacrifice of personal freedom on the part of a client and a loss of independence, which is unavoidable. The inevitability of the above in no way detracts from our fundamental policy of seeking to maximize the opportunities for freedom and individuality for our clients.
This means that we adopt and ensure compliance with employment practice and procedures that are consistent with the Human Rights Act 1998, the Code of Practice issued by the Commission for Racial Equality under the relevant provisions of the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000, for the elimination of racial discrimination and also the promotion of equality of opportunity in employment.
Our Policy is formulated in accordance with Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. 1 The Company recognises and accepts responsibility as an employer for carrying out the business in a manner which will not, as far as is reasonably practicable, give rise to an undue risk to the health and safety of the employees and other persons within the Home.
