Lepsons was established in 1994 by Tony Leppenwell, a car enthusiast who sought to restore wheels to a quality of finish and durability unsurpassed in the industry and which was equal or better than the original product.We have continually re-invested in equipment over the last 20+ years to be at the leading edge of finish quality.

Not all refurbishments are the same, a mobile repair is OK for a quick fix but the process is just a surface repair rather than a full factory restoration, and the paint and lacquer is likely to deteriorate at a faster rate than a full factory refurbishment.

There are also major differences between businesses that offer a full factory refurbishment - the processes are broadly similar but it is the quality of materials, the equipment used, the skills and experience of the staff and the quality controls adopted that differentiate the excellent from the average.The Lepsons refurbishment process is generally more comprehensive and frequently involving more processes than other refurbishers.

If tyres are fitted they are inspected for wear or damage prior to being marked up with the customer identification (and positioning on car if present). The alloy wheel is placed in a chemical solution (unlike some refurbishers we do not use acid which is more aggressive and less environmentally friendly) for several hours to remove all the old paint, lacquer and any accumulated deposits.

Mobile repairs can be quick and convenient but at the end of the day a mobile (or SMART) repair is just a surface repair without all the benefits that are found within a quality controlled factory environment with all the equipment, experience and staff that we can offer.
