Lincs PAT Testing
We provide portable appliance testing (also known as PAT Testing) in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. We are a family run Lincoln based PAT Testing company and pride ourselves on supplying a high level of service to our customers. We specialise in providing a fast, quality service to small businesses in Lincoln and Lincolnshire.

We are now pleased to offer our services to Nottinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. PAT Testing, although important, can be very time consuming. We offer an out of hours service to all our customers at no extra charge to help minimise disruption to your workforce and enable you to carry out your business as usual.
Services
We need to know location in order to work out distance required to travel. We work on a sliding scale when it comes to calculating a price based on the number of items. The more items you have to test the less you pay for each item. The environment is a factor because it takes much longer to test 100 power tools on a building site than it does 100 power cables in an office.
Portable appliance testing (also known as PAT testing) is a mixture of visual checks and electronic tests used to ensure that electronic equipment is safe to use. Most common faults with equipment are issues such as cracked plugs, wrong fuse size or damaged cabling, and these can normally be found with a visual check.
In addition to our portable appliance testing we are pleased to offer Microwave Leakage Testing. A microwave oven will always leak a certain amount during operation however when this reaches a certain level it can be considered dangerous. We have special equipment to be able to check these levels. Once the device has been tested the details are recorded and the microwave is given a special label with details and results of the test.
You will be contacted prior to the arranged day of testing, for confirmation as to who we are to report to and your company address. After a quick discussion regarding any necessary health and safety requirements, work will then commence. Any minor repairs to equipment such as rewiring plugs, replacing plugs and replacing fuses can be carried out by our operative.
Anyone that operates a business is governed by the regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. You have a duty under this act to as far as reasonably practicable to protect your employees from harm. Injury caused by faulty electrical items is a very real risk to employees. By PAT testing your electrical items you are showing that you are managing this risk.
