A will is one of the most important legal documents you will ever produce. Writing a will is the only way to ensure that your wishes are carried out and your estate is divided in the way that you choose. Before you make a will, it is worthwhile considering who you would like to include, or possibly exclude, in your will.
A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) is a legal document that allows you to appoint one or more people to make decisions on your behalf should you lose capacity to make decisions yourself. The people you appoint to manage your affairs are called the Attorneys. An LPA is a separate legal document to your Will, dealing with your affairs in lifetime.
A funeral plan allows you to cover your funeral director's costs and make a contribution to third party costs, reducing the worry for loved ones at the time of need. Another reason that people choose to take out a funeral plan is to make arrangements in advance for their funeral. Usually this is not to plan elaborate details but to ensure their loved ones are not burdened by an ever-growing list of choices.
If you're an executor under a Will you're probably wondering what you need to do. You may need to apply for probate. This is the legal process of dealing with a deceased person's estate, and will involve settling any debts they owed, arranging and paying for their funeral, and importantly distributing their assets to the people who they've chosen to inherit (their 'beneficiaries') following their will.

My mum and dad had their wills and LPA's changed. Simon was exceptional in the service he provided. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He came to their home which made it a very comfortable experience and not time restricted like when you visit a solicitors office. Simon was very professional and informative and kept my mum and dad updated through out the process.
I haven't done my will or LPA yet but Simon will be the first to know when I'm ready to do them. I cannot recommend him enough for a pleasurable experience at such a somber time

My wife and I requested the writing of wills along with powers of attorney and were extremely happy with the service provided. Our wills were drafted exactly as per our requirements and Simon made what can be an incredibly complicated process (power of attorney) extremely easy to understand. We also had a very tight turnaround requirement which Simon adhered to. I would definitely recommend Nene Legal.

After initial contact, a home visit was carried out by Simon to discuss my needs. He was efficient and gave advice as necessary. My documents were received very quickly. Simon did a brilliant job helping myself and my boyfriend with our wills after we purchased our first house. The wills we required were straightforward and Simon managed to explain it all brilliantly so we understood. Additional bonus is that Simon even dropped off paperwork to us which meant we didn’t even need to leave the house.

We needed to prepare LPAs for my mum due to her poor health and Simon came over to our house and ensured that we understood everything before we decided to go ahead. He was very helpful and did not put any pressure or stress on either one of us. I used Simon to do draw up a Will for my elderly Dad whilst he was in hospital. Simon was really quick to respond and very professional, explaining all that I needed to know to get the Will done. He wasn't able to meet my Dad but liaised with him over the phone. He was very patient with a few changes my Dad wanted to make and was always on hand to ask questions. 5 stars from me for an excellent job.
