When husband and wife team Francesco and Marta Mazzella opened Casa Mia, it was with the customer in mind. They wanted to bring the authentic tastes of Italy to their customers. Their main objective; to provide great tasting Italian food that doesn't lack in quality and informal dining that doesn't lack in excellent customer service.
Opening early in the morning, the Casa Mia Coffee Shop attracts the post school drop-off trade for coffee and pastries, a popular business lunch crowd with indoor and outdoor seating, and equally popular evening clientele with regularity. Everyone is treated like a member of the Casa Mia family when they visit.

Do not get takeaway from here. The food was incredibly low quality and cold when we received it. It was late and one of the worst takeaways we have ever had. Do not be deceived by the website. It was incredibly low value for money. It would be a better bet to get a ready meal supermarket if you fancy Italian and a lot cheaper.

Vile food!
Went in on Sunday for breakfast. I have ordered egg Benedict and my husband ordered egg florentine. The bread wasn’t even toasted, ham looked like it was 99pence and taken of pizza (I am sure they use same for their pizzas) the sauce tasted of vinegar and salad cream. Same goes for my husbands food. Horrendous! The only good thing was the coffee, it was really nice. Can’t comment on lunch menu, but breakfast is vile! Don’t bother, I know I won’t!

Sounds like people are easily pleased by the reviews for this place. I have been here few times friendly staff, pizza, chips, strawberry cheesecake and strawberry ice-cream is nice. The black forest cake was not great and oreo cake. Pricy food not worth it as the food is not great. I have been to better Italian restaurants.

We rang for a takeaway to be delivered at 19.04, when it still hadn't arrived at 20.25 I rang to ask if there was a problem. The lady on the phone announced that she was about to ring those who had made delivery orders to say it would be another hour before it would arrive. 2.5 hours to wait for a take out? No thanks, we definitely will not be using this restaurant again. Rubbish.

Casa Mia? More like Colossal Mistake, am I right? Ordered 5 random pizzas for collection and all we got was a doughy mess. One pizza was purely made up of leftover mushrooms, no herbs, veg, meat, anything! Another was Ham and pineapple except all the toppings were placed in the centre of the pizza meaning that there were 6 or 7 slices of dough and tomato sauce with a separate circle of congealed cheese ham and pineapple left for one brave soul to tackle. Speaking of Ham, the quality of it was abysmal! It was quite obviously some banjax Bernard Matthews ham that they'd bought in bulk for cheap

I'm so happy I found this breakfast spot. The abundance of windows lets a lot of light in which gives the whole place a light airy feel and helps start your day on the right foot!
The menu is modest, but no complaints about the food, I enjoyed a fresh squeezed orange juice with my eggs and toast, exactly what I needed. I finished off with a slice of cake... yes for breakfast, why not!?
On the other hand I got a toastie to take back with me and the bread had mold on it...
All in all a nice experience and standard food (hopefully in date).

Went here for my wife's birthday and the food was your standard casa Mia food, not saying it's a bad thing but it's about what you would expect from a chain italian resturant. I was a but dissapointed because they only had one beer choice which made me quite sad but being in chapel allerton I can understand with all the wine o bars in the area. Lasagna will never steer you wrong so go with that and get a bottle of wine to make the atmosphere a lil more enjoyable.

I completely adhere to Susan's words when she says that you could be in a pavement cafe in Florence or Rome (from the inside). Casa Mia has a large, roofed, terraced greenhousey-esque area out front of its inner restaurant. With its own 'outdoorsy-but-not-quite' counter selling Italian deli food, it really is a world away from Angel Share's American kitchen, and Zed's trendy lightsy bar food a few doors down. Quite frankly, it just seems a hell of a lot more honest than other places in the Chapel Allerton zone, with an uncomplicated, almost genuine Italian eating experience

Whilst on the pricey side, Casa Mia Cafe in Chapel Allerton is a lovely place to while away an afternoon drinking coffee and eating cheesecake. It serves a nice menu of coffee cakes, and lunch / light meals type options, as well as standard pasta and pizza. The atmosphere is great and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I'd recommend this little cafe, though be prepared for a busy afternoon.

Casa Mia is a nice coffee shop/restaurant in the heart of chapel allerton. The set up is lovely with seating in a sheltered area outside as well as a cosy restaurant. The coffees are lovely, with a little more choice offered than the caffe nero next door but the best drinks are their hot chocolates, in a whole variety of flavours. My favourite is the chocolate mint - delish!
The cake selection is amazing to look at and my young 4 year old friend Isobel simply couldn't choose - so many yummy treats.
Being an italian establishment they are very baby friendly and helpful with things like warming
