GDR Solutions was established in 2003, and has been delivering high-quality training solutions throughout the South-West since then. GDR Solutions specialises in First Aid and Safety training, our training centre is located in Newent, Gloucestershire - which is easily accessible from Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ledbury, Ross and Wye, Hereford and Monmouth as we are 10 minutes from the M50 motorway.
This course complies with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Approved Code of Practice L74 guidelines for qualifications of workplace First Aiders. This course provides delegates with a basic training in first aid. The course is a cost effective way of training groups of delegates, without taking up too much of their work time.
The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training.
This qualification is based on the HSE training standard for delivery of Annual Refresher courses for the purposes of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981. HSE strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake annual refresher training, over half a day, during any three-year certification period.
The Forestry First Aid +F (QAR) qualification is ideal for those that work or intend to work in a forestry, agricultural or remote environment, such as tree surgeons and farmers.
The objective of the qualification is to benefit Learners by providing them with appropriate first aid training, in a forestry context, as set out in "First Aid at Work - Forestry Commission Policy for those that work on our land" enabling them to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with specific special hazards in an emergency situation.
