Patrick and Julie would like to extend to you a warm welcome to their Guesthouse and Island home, 'Caol-Ithe'. Pronounced 'Cool-ee', this is Gaelic for 'Sound of Iona'. Fionnphort on the Ross of Mull is a wonderful Hebrides Location. It is our aim to provide you with comfortable and relaxing accommodation either in our Guesthouse for Bed and Breakfast or in our adjoining Self-Catering Cottages.

We are approximately 5 minutes walk from the ferry to Iona, the boat trips to Staffa and Fingal's Cave; The Keel Row Pub, Ferry Shop and Post Office are along the way. Caol-Ithe Guesthouse offers an abundance of comfortable and luxurious accommodation with 3 en-suite bedrooms and one twin room with a separate and private bathroom across the hall, all neatly packaged in a modern easily accessed and spacious bungalow with its own visitor's parking.
Services
We are easily found being the first property on the left hand side when entering the village. It takes about an hour to get here from the Craignure Ferry Terminal. The bus service passes our door and a polite request to the bus driver will usually result in being dropped outside the house.

If travelling from the other end of the island allow plenty of time as much of our road network is on single track roads and so progress can be much slower than expected, particularly if using the routes through the west side of the island. When travelling public transport, bus and coach services are available from many Scottish cities and towns and a train service from Glasgow to Oban.
The Isle of Mull is a unique and stunning island to explore but with 300 miles of coastline, wild hills and mountains, extensive forest and fabulous wildlife. If your time is limited, then we can help you by providing you with some ideas as to how best to focus your time. Why not go one better and let the locals take the strain and take one of the many tours available on the islands to explore its unique wildlife, geology, history and landscapes.

Great hosts, friendly, helpful and very knowledgable ,every detail covered. Anything you would need was available and carefully thought of.Little extras included to make it a special stay.Very smart ,clean, modern, large bedroom with sofa and ensuite ,everything seemed relatively new. Great breakfasts and evening meal too as the only place to eat was closed . Would highly recommend. Situated in a great position not far from shop, pub and ferry to Iona, with a great view over the sea to Iona.Fabulous!!

An amazing experience. Lovely and cozy place to stay if you are heading to Iona or Fingal's Cave. The room is so neat and clean, has everything, self sufficient. Both the owners are so friendly as well. Love this place. Would definately go back!

Stranded en route to Iona, this was a superb place to spend the evening. Spotless bedroom and a great breakfast with a wonderful view of our final destination.
