Here at Trafford's we try to keep as big a selection of Fireplaces as possible to enable you to experience the full range of what is available. Come into our showroom and you will find full Marble Fireplaces, Marble Mantels, Granite Mantels, Wood Mantels in Many Finishes, Cast Iron Fireplaces, Stone Fireplaces and many more.
You get 3 to 4 times the heat out of the same amount of fuel in a Stove as you do in an Open Fire. Couple that with the cost of Oil, Gas and Electricity and you start to understand the attraction of a Stove. Plus they work in a power cut. Wood Burning Stoves are the product for being environmentally friendly.
Considering the winters we have been enduring over the last couple of years it is just as well there has been a sea change in the Heat and Efficiency of Gas Fires. We now have open living flame convector gas fires that are 74% efficient. That is almost as efficient as a glass-fronted fire. Winters are getting colder, Gas Bills are getting bigger, so update to these incredible new fires to get the most heat for your hard earned money.
Our homes are getting insulated to far higher standards than we have previously experienced. In some homes this means that a gas Fire or Multi-Fuel Stove are just not needed or used. There are now LED Fires. The heater is the same but the effect is by LEDs which only use about 20% of the electricity of a bulb.
I came to you because you are local with a good showroom where I could see things. I think it was Matt that helped me. No pressure, but lots of help and patience. I chose a Disley Mantel in Solid Oak with Bianca White marble and the Nu-Flame Slimline Remote Gas fire. The fitting again excellent. Jamie was lovely and very efficient.

Friendly staff. The gentleman I spoke to on the phone new his stuff. Not the cheapest mind, I could have got my parts about £40 cheaper online (apparently the same parts) but if there was an issue it would have been more problematic to try and send them back and I would rather deal locally and support a local business.

My wife and I, would like to give a huge thank you to Trafford Fireplaces for transforming our living room. The showroom in Carlisle is warm and inviting and well worth a visit. The quality of service from both Brenda and Graeme was excellent. We chose a Bohemia C40 Cube with optional side windows and a 400mm log store this sat on a polished black granite hearth with back panel to suit. The fitters Tony and Allan did an excellent installation job even after a tricky set back. We are very pleased we came to Trafford Fireplaces and will definitely recommend you to everyone. Just had a fire fit from Trafford Fires Carlisle,would like to thank all staff in the showroom, salesman (owner) and the fitters, nothing was too much trouble , kept me informed about everything that was going on with my order the week it was getting fitted so happy with the end result just love love LOVE my new Sheridan 5gas log affect fire. Absolutely brilliant service. We were having problems with a fire which had not been supplied by Trafford Fireplaces but they far exceeded our expectations by sourcing replacement parts and installing them. After 4 years of putting up with a defective fire we now have an amazing Gazco fire which is absolutely stunning.
Many thanks to Graeme in the showroom who kept us updated on progress and also to Jamie who fitted the new parts, who was pleasant and efficient.
We would have no hesitation in recommending them and we have already decided to buy another fire from them for our dining room.
