DASL arrived in 2008 to add extra value to MSL's fabrication offering with B2B electronics and electro-mechanical assembly services. Our concept was to offer everything you might need from simple wire preparation, PCB population or complete build of your product. MSL formed in 2004 through an MBO of an existing metalworking unit.
Whether you have very small batches through to larger volumes we can cut and prepare wire, solder connectors, populate and solder through hole and surface mount assembly PCB's, final assembly, load software, test & print and apply labels. Panel Wiring is also an in house speciality. You can free issue parts, or we will do all the sourcing and procurement for you - you choose your preferred approach.
Fifteen years have passed since I did my work experience and I remember it being a big deal at school. We have recently introduced a monthly team walk of the shop floor commonly known in lean manufacturing as a Gemba. Based in the Matford sector of the Marsh Barton Industrial Estate, we are at the far end of Cofton Road (which leads to the racetracks of Exeter Aces Cycle Speedway & Exeter Eagles BMX - both signposted with brown tourist road signs). Proceed as far as you can to a turning circle at the end of Cofton Road, turn into yard on your left signed Exe Units, and we are the third unit on your right, just before the fence which divides the yard.
