The Parkstone Dental Practice is a private dental surgery providing a large range of Dental & Orthodontal Services to both adults and children in Poole and Bournemouth. Our General Dentistry covers dental examinations, polishing & scaling, white fillings, gum treatment, sedation dentistry, snore guards & the various options to consider when replacing missing teeth.
Mr Richard Edwards has a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and Orthodontics especially Fastbraces. Mrs Paru Edwards has special interest in Periodontal Treatment and Implants. Hard brushes can wear down the tooth enamel causing sensitivity. Brush in small circular movements, and brush your tongue as well! It might sound daft, but that's where most of the bacteria live that cause smelly/bad breath. It's not how much sugar you have, but how often you have it. Every time you eat or drink sugary food your teeth are put under acid attack for up to an hour afterwards.

This practice has continued to provide amazing dental and hygienist care throughout the pandemic when others have closed their minds and doors to others in need. They have implemented and maintained very substantial measures to protect clients from COVID that have made things a lot more challenging for themselves and ensure we are safe. They always provide excellent hygienist and dental care and treatment, their clear priority is to safeguard you-your teeth-and your smile.

Amazing staff from reception up to dentist and hygienist and dental nurses. I have an irrational fear of dentists, and I can't speak highly enough of how everyone has been. Taking the time to explain the procedures to me, answer questions and generally make me feel at ease! Superb service from top to bottom.

Me and my daughter had a visit to the hygienist yesterday( apologies, as I don’t recall her name)What a delightful lady! Very professional, she gave us plenty of useful information and was very friendly. My daughter doesn’t particularly like the dentist but even she was happy yesterday as the lady made her feel relaxed.

Richard and his team have worked hard to provide a safe, high quality service. My daughter is delighted with her Fast Track treatment. Her orthodontist wanted to pull out four of her teeth due to overcrowding but Richard kept them in and, in doing so, created a wonderful Hollywood smile. Until now I’ve been a very nervous patient and even avoided the dentist for many years as a result of a bad experience but since coming to this practice it’s been a revelation. Great service and care. Everything explained clearly right from the start and during each appointment. Checking that I’m feeling ok etc. My treatment plan over the past three months including fillings, various repairs and root canal work, has all gone brilliantly and for the final two appointments I wasn’t nervous at all, quite calm and relaxed! I highly recommend Mr Edwards and the Parkstone practice team.
