Hollyhock House
View of the terraced gardens looking over the back pony paddocks. From here you can walk along the woods to the river, about 3/4 mile where you'll find a wooden bridge and you can walk to the roman villa at East End, North Leigh. The house also sits on the Oxfordshire way, where you can walk to Charlbury and beyond. Bring your friends and have a magical time making memories, wandering the lanes, a trip to the village pub and melting marshmallows on the open fire.
Services
Hollyhock house has been in the family for five generations and is owned by Heidi and Andy Laughton-Hill. In 2014 it underwent a two year restoration project. It has been totally overhauled from top to bottom. The former family farmhouse, has been extensively renovated and now includes the converted barn and stable into a master bedroom and luxious en suite bathroom, and a large sitting room and utility room.
The master bedroom is situated in the roof space of the barn section of the new conversion. It has unique features of a bowed banister and original exposed oak beams. It has a beautiful bowed oak double bed; bedside tables with lamps and TV. The en-suite has a rolled top bath, vintage styling pedestal basin, walk in shower and a mirror which turns into a television, so you watch your favourite show whilst having a soak in the bath!
Features of this room include a large oak dining room table and chairs for 14 people. This is a large space, and contains beams and panoramic views of the lower lawn. This is an idyllic space to entertain your friends and family. The flooring is of a grey wooden effect panel in amtico, which is warmer and forgiving than stone floors.
Features of this room include being part of the new build work. Originally a stable it has been converted into a useful utility room. It is situated to the right hand side as you enter the property from the main porch/boot room. It hosts a washing machine, tumble drier, sink, additional electric cook and hood and fridge.
Feature of this room include three 3 seater sofas and coffee table in the middle. A side board, containing board games and an extensive range of movies. This room has a wooden floor and also benefits from under floor heating system so despite being a large space it always feels warm and snug. There is a large TV/DVD player.

I have been meaning to write this review for literally a year (ooppss!!!)
Due to covid restrictions we never got to visit this beautiful house unfortunately. However, Heidi was fantastic with contacting us and refunding us promptly. We were so gutted we couldnt come and are really hoping to book again for next year. Fingers crossed!

We booked Hollyhock House as a surprise for my Aunty’s 60th birthday, there were 8-9 woman and we had the most amazing time.
The house is very spacious plenty big enough for us and very clean would be perfect for families too as the garden is huge with a children’s play area Outside.
The village is lovely to have a walk with a local shop and pub. I would definitely stay here again 100%

If your looking for your Cotswold getaway look no further ! A beautiful house sat in the middle of fields in a sleepy village.
The house was not only stunning and exquisitely decorated throughout with attention to detail in every room, but immaculately clean.
The house was great for us, a group of 10 x 40+ year olds to celebrate a birthday, but with the huge garden and play area would be equally amazing for families too.
Although you feel you’re in the middle of nowhere for that perfect relaxation (or party) you are actually near to Oxford City, the towns of Woodstock & Chipping Norton and
