Durham PAT Testing
We provide simple, cost effective PAT Testing solutions, enabling companies and organisations to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations. We cover the entire North East and North Yorkshire, including Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) specialists, offering Thermal Imaging testing, Microwave Testing and Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) too.

To be confident your electrical appliances are safe, and you comply with Health and Safety standards, the simplest way is to have an inspection from a fully qualified and insured PAT Tester. Whether it's domestic, commercial, office or industrial equipment that needs testing you can be confident that a British Steel time served and a STROMA certified Electrician will meet your requirements.
Services
Although fixed appliance testing should always be a part of a testing procedure it is often overlooked. Fixed appliances such as cookers, night storage heaters and hand driers therefore are rarely tested. The fixed wiring in the property will be tested, including the fused spurs, but not the appliances they feed, during the EICR inspection and the appliances with 13a plugs tested during a portable appliance test.
Often during PAT testing in an office environment there will be a server room. The client will regularly decide not to have this room fully PAT tested as they feel they cannot shut the server down for many reasons. It may be that their IT support is not actually on site or that they feel they cannot afford the downtime that may ensue with a full shutdown.
A microwave should provide an efficient and safe method of cooking food either at home or in a commercial kitchen. Sometimes over a period of time a microwave, due to lack of cleanliness or maintenance, can become less efficient or even dangerous. Measurement of safe radiation levels are checked with a correctly calibrated meter and a temperature test is done to ensure that the microwave is working to its correct power rating.
Any person who lets a residential accommodation (such as houses, flats, bedsits, etc) as a business is lawfully required to ensure the equipment supplied as part of the tenancy is safe to use.

Landlords PAT Testing requirements by the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994 states that all mains electrical equipment (cookers, washing machines, kettles, microwaves etc), whether new or otherwise, supplied with the accommodation must be safe to use.As a Landlord, you need to regularly maintain the electrical equipment you supply to ensure it's safety.

Due to my employers ISO requirements all my electrical equipment required PAT testing so i looked for a local service to carry out the work within the Durham Area due to being a UK field service engineer.
Fantastic service from Durham PAT Testing, all equipment tested / certified and returned in less than one day.
All certification of the tested equipment emailed back within 4hrs and i collected the equipment the next day.
I Highly recommend this service to everyone and i will continue to utilise their services in the future.
Many Thanks.

This is the first time we have used Durham PAT Testing but it certainly won't be the last. Arranged a date well in advance to carry out the testing and turned up when said to complete the works. Reasonably and with a professional manor.
