Established in 1972 by Dougie Turner, Drumclog Plant Ltd has built an enviable reputation for service to the construction industry! Drumclog Plant Ltd has grown from a small plant hire firm into a diverse, multi disciplined contractor specialising in Scottish infrastructure civil engineering works for clients such as Scottish Water, Transport Scotland, British Waterways and Forestry Commision.
Drumclog Plant pioneered Low Ground Pressure equipment in Scotland in 1972 and now has the largest fleet of Low Ground Pressure machinery in Scotland. This specialist excavating equipment, modified by our experienced in house engineers, is capable of transversing and working on soft or boggy ground which would otherwise be impassable.

Since the creation of the Peatland Action Fund, we have been at the forefront of contractors in Scotland undertaking habitat restoration works across the country for clients such as SNH, Forestry Commission, RSPB, Scottish Power, Falck and SSE. Our experience and services involves many established techniques including manual and mechanical peat dam construction, plastic pile dams, wooden dams, bunding and peat hag reprofiling.
