Ray Darley Agricultural Contractors of Rillington Malton North Yorkshire, are an agricultural contracting, farming, Hay, Haylage, Straw and Stock feed sales business. We feel lucky to live and work in such a nice scenic and pleasant part of the country, with splendid views of the Yorkshire Moors, Vale of Pickering, and the Yorkshire Wolds, with the North Sea coast just seventeen miles east of us.

Our aim over the past three decades has been to provide our customers a good, reliable, honest agricultural contracting service, using well maintained machinery, with professional, experienced operators, maintaining a competitive price! Established in 1984, the business is based on providing professional agricultural services to farmers in the area.
Services
The business was started by Ray Darley in 1984. Having served time as a agricultural engineer with both Ford tractor, and Massey Ferguson tractor & machinery dealerships, and attending Askham Bryan college, where he achieved C & G agricultural engineering qualifications. Ray then set up business on his own, initially carrying out farm to farm tractor, machinery, welding, and fabrication repairs.
We offer all kinds of arable operations and services to include ploughing, cultivations, pressing using Simba cultipress, and drilling with Vaderstad 3 and 4 metre drills, with agrilla tine and system disc pre cultivation units. And combination drilling with Lemken Solitaire. Annual hedge cutting operations are offered and carried out to a very high standard.
At Ray Darley Agricultural Contractors we always have excellent quality Haylage, Hay, and Straw for sale throughout the year. This can be ordered in various sizes of square or round bales. We supply quality produce and cater for all needs. Selected grasses are grown on the farm in three year rotational leys.
Ray Darley Agricultural Contractors make and sell high quality haylage and hay. We always stand by all products we supply, ensuring our customers a top quality forage at all times with supply available all year round. We pride ourselves in providing some of the top racehorse trainers, equestrian yards, horse/pony owners, and farmers in the area.
We grow our fodder beet on light stone free land, so it's ideal for chopping with no risk of damaged cutters etc. Ideally we like to drill early/mid April and carefully harvest in early November, then clamp ready for sale in a frost proof store. We have softer palatable varieties aimed at sheep farmers, and more harder higher dry matter varieties for cattle.
