Services
Every home has its own benefits and limitations with regards to a wood burning stove or a fire installation. Before you make any decisions relating to the purchase of a wood burning stove, it is important to check the type of chimney or flue system you have available in your home. We advise that you consult with us first and we can advise you on the best way of doing it.
To achieve a relaxing room temperature of around 21C when the external air temperature is at freezing (0C) you will need approximately 1kW of heat output for every 14 cubic meters of space. Measure the length, width and height of your room and multiply the three figures together. For example, a room measuring 7m long by 4m wide and with a height of 2.5m is 70 cu.
Cleanburn is a system by which hot air is introduced into the firebox just above the normal height of the fire. This allows the combustion of unburned hydrocarbons in the smoke stream. This, in turn, provides not only a 'cleaner burn' (i.e. less soot particles going up the chimney/flue and into the atmosphere), but also allows you to enjoy even more flames.
Commissioning a wood burning or multi fuel stove, must be done following installation of the appliance. This is a compulsory procedure to ensure that the flue/appliance/room ventilation are all in accordance with building regulations, safety requirements and the manufacturer's installation/operation instructions.
Airwash is a design feature that uses a specially placed vent or vents to draw in air from the outside of your stove to wash over the inside of the glass. This helps to keep the glass on your wood burning stove clean, allowing you to enjoy the glow and flames to the full. Most of the good quality wood burning stove have this.

We had our fireplace refurbished by Lee and checked for safety. He was so prompt, really knowledgable, honest and we think it looks super with lovely clean edges and a great piece of honed slate that the stove… sits on. Lee let us take samples home with us, advised us and was a real perfectionist. When Lee was not quite happy enough with the finish to the slate, he drove to the suppliers on the same day to get a fresh piece that he preferred for us. It was nice and cosy this Christmas thanks Lee 👍🤩
