The CBT certificate validates your Provisional Licence Entitlement to ride motorcycles up to 125cc. You must still display 'L' plates, must not carry passengers and cannot use the Motorway at this stage but it forms the basis of good riding to build upon for the future. This is your first step towards becoming a road user who is able to get the best from travel on today's modern and busy roads.
After completing the CBT and motorcycle theory test you are now able to proceed with more training and take your practical test. There is a tiered test system depending on your age and the size of the bike you wish to ride. After completing your CBT we will mutually agree a training course to best suit your ability.
See the course details below for what is involved, and what you might expect. We have just successfully completed another course and retained our 100% pass rate for the Advanced Tests. Offering you the opportunity to gain the qualifications for the Advanced Tests for RoSPA and the Enhanced Rider Scheme.

Having been involved in the South Wales Police Bikesafe Scheme, I was asked to devise a 'Bikesafe' Course but for smaller bikes. Cardiff Council also took up the schemes and currently are very proactive in promoting and supporting the scheme, and with many of the bike collisions in the City involving riders on their daily commute, the scheme was extended to include larger bikes and for those riders who had gone on to pass their L plate test.

Andy is a great down to earth instructor.
He doesn't just teach you to pass a test he teaches you how to ride, some of the things he taught me I will never forget.
He will happily tell you if your doing somthing wrong and tell you what to do to correct it.
More importantly he will teach you how become a better rider and not make the same mistakes in the future.
I highly recomend any new or old rider to give his course a go the expiriance he has and the fountain of knowledge is incredibly valuable.

5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend Andy, I have been nervous and problematic and tried many trainers but Andy explains things so well and I don’t feel patronised. He explains it clearly and logically in a friendly and down to earth way, giving praise when I did it well and correcting me where I needed If you’re a nervous or new rider then highly recommend Andy he will make you feel safe, confident and happy on your riding journey

A month ago I started my Advanced Rider Course with 1st Class Rider Training. Now, a few weeks after my return, I can confirm that it has sustainably transformed my riding. Andy and his team are brilliant instructors and everything was well planned and executed and great fun, despite Covid limitations. Great roads also. I can only highly recommend… you do this course, the sooner the better, ideally soon after you get your license so you don't need to correct any bad habits - that is to say also long-standing bikers will benefit massively. I'll be back to repeat the course in 2021 or 2022

What an experience! Finished the 3 Country training course. Passing my advanced qualifications in the process. Could not recommend these guys highly enough. The training was brilliant and challenging. The knowledge of all the trainers is fantastic and they are always encouraging and want to see you improve. The communication and organisation was fantastic throughout and the roads that you get taken on are fantastic!! I would do this again in a heart beat!!

Just completed the 1st Class Rider Training 3 Countries Advanced Training Course. What a fantastic week. These guys really know how to ride safely and progressively, they also know how to pass on their knowledge and skills. I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to anyone who is interested in taking their riding ability to the highest level.

A month ago I was in the middle of Andy's 3 Countries Advanced Rider Course. I got to ride fantastic roads all day long for a week, with direct observation by an Advanced Riding instructor for 50% of the time (which is plenty!). I spent breaks and dinners with a fantastic group of motorcycle enthusiasts many of whom I'll stay in touch with after the course. I came out IAM and RoSPA certified, having massively improved my cornering, positioning, road speed choice and therefore safety, but most importantly I've begun to learn to think on behalf of other road users. This will be one to hone continuously

I attended the advanced course to improve my knowledge and gain a new level of skill, I live in London and having the ability of tackling traffic as well as open roads was a must for me. Upon reflection I would happily have paid double as the quality of the instruction, the ability to ride in Wales, Scotland and England coupled with an informative class room session meant learning was both fun and rewarding. I went alone and came away with a dozen friends from all over the country... What was meant to be a course felt like a holiday. If you are thinking of improving your skills then look no further

The Three Countries Advanced Rider Course will save lives. Maybe your own, maybe someone else’s. Because you’ll come back a much better rider. I just did and so did every other rider on the course, even those who were excellent to start with. If you’re serious about riding well, safely and progressively then this is probably the best course in Europe. It also helps if you enjoy high-end banter with Andy and his superb team of instructors, whose willingness to engage with us all both on and off the bikes makes them legends, one and all.

Me and my partner did the CBT with Andy last weekend and it was fantastic. Andy is an exceptional tutor and he made us both feel really confident and at ease with each step through all the way to the 2 hours on the road. I can't recommend 1st Class Rider Training enough to any beginners and will certainly be back to progress through the licenses. 1st Class training and Andy is a 1st class bloke, and now we are 1st Class Riders!
