Services
We are a family run Seed Merchant and Agricultural GPS provider, established in 2002. His local knowledge and understanding of products make George an important factor in our business here at Cluny Home Farms. Times are hard for everyone, so making the right decisions first time is vital - George and the team at Agrisolutions have been helping us do just that for the last 9 years.
George founded the business in 2002. He is from an agricultural background, having worked on farms prior to embarking on a sales career in agriculture in 1986, giving him nearly 30 years sales experience. During his career he worked for North Eastern Farmers Ltd for 10 years, initially as a Sales Representative and latterly as an Arable Specialist.
Kale is a well proven fodder crop which consistently provides very high yields of succulent green fodder. One of the big advantages with kale is the crops flexible utilisation period which can stretch from July right through to the following March. The crop has a high crude protein content and can be fed to all types of livestock.
If you want to encourage game birds on your farm then you need to have access to a range of sensibly priced and commercially proven mixtures and individual crops. Fortunately, our technical staff have spent many years working with the acknowledged experts in this field and, as a result, we have been able to bring together all the information you need to make the right cropping decisions based on your individual needs.
Kingsford Heritage is a popular wildflower mixture containing species that are most commonly found in Scotland and Northern England. It can take a few years for our perennial wildflowers to establish and give a full display therefore, we add 2% of cornfield annuals and this gives colour from the first year if sown in the early part of the year.
