We booked this beautiful venue for our wedding in August 2021. It was the first place we had looked at, and didn't need to look any further. The setting looked perfect for our needs. Julie and Mike advised and supported us throughout the procedure and were very flexible in any suggestions for our big day. We were able to hold our ceremony in the lovely garden and all of our guests were thrilled with both the venue and the attention received by the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would have no hesitation in recommending West Lodge Hotel for a special event.

We wanted a place for our Mum’s Wake. Julie was absolutely wonderful when we went view the venue. She made us feel so welcome and took a lot of pressure from us. On the actual day. The food was amazing as were the staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We were waited on hand and foot. All our guests commented on this. It was fantastic. A brilliant find. Highly recommended and very reasonable. Thank you so much !!

Unfortunately, the PR for the venue is a little misleading – at best. I didn’t mind, so much, being accommodated in a refurbished shed at the bottom of their garden, it was pleasant and although mosquitos were a bit of a challenge (it was very warm, next to a pond, and the door had been left open) but I was surprised that the ‘hotel’ didn’t do food other than breakfast. Although the gentleman owner advised me to just go to the pub, notwithstanding covid, I preferred not to walk through an unknown town at night, to find a meal. The room and hotel are quirky, rather old fashioned and not
