Solid wood flooring is the original wood flooring. Planks are cut from the log and are then kiln dried to a stable condition normally between 8 to 12% moisture level. They are then machined into various widths, lengths and grades. A profile is given either square edged or tongue and grooved. They are then finished at the factory or in many cases are left unfinished to be finished on site by the installer.
I would like to say what a first class job the team did here, they were: very skilled, very knowledgeable, very polite, very quiet and very tidy. It produced a great result. The two lads that fitted the carpets this morning were fantastic. They did a wonderful job. They were very professional, polite and even helped us move our large sofa back into position.

Everyone we have met through working with Manor Flooring on our new Karndean flooring throughout our downstairs has been an absolute pleasure to work with – from Hannah and Sue when we visited the shop, to Dan who paid us a few assessment visits, to Roley who did the floor prep, and finally to Jimmy and the boys who actually laid the final flooring… They have all been amazing and kind, knowledgeable and expert, and made what could have been a potentially painful process turn out to be the complete opposite. We would gladly recommend you to anyone with new flooring needs! The floor is perfect

Absolutely superb job. 58sqm of Karndean laid in our kitchen and conservatory as well as around our cast iron spiral staircase on two of the hottest days of the year. Tom and Ryan arrived at 7am ready to start. Left site very tidy and did a fantastic job including removing all the debris.
Would highly recommend. We’ve already asked them to come back to do our hallway.
Dan arrived on Saturday to complete the job with the trim for the conservatory

Manor flooring did a great job with our LVT floor. Initial visit to the shop and Sue and Dan were really helpful with decision making. Estimate was comparable with other local installers, service has been faultless and the end result far exceeded our expectations. The finish is great, even fitting around the water softener in our cupboard!

What a fantastic service from visiting the shop to having the estimate, to scheduling the work, to having the work carried out has been fantastic. The quality of the work is excellent and the fitting team were so refreshing to deal with, it makes such a change to deal with contractors where nothing is too much trouble and nothing is a problem. If you are thinking of flooring don't bother looking anywhere else 5 stars, well deserved
