Meet Mark Partridge and son Alex Partridge. Mark started the business at 18 years old in 1980. He began buying and selling second hand bicycles from the family double garage in Gissons Lane, Kennford. Marks father, Derrick joined the business in 1990 and it operated as a Partnership until 1999. During the early years the business quickly grew, a premises was required and the current site was acquired in 1993.
The purpose built store was completed as two separate projects between 1994 and 1997. Mark has been in the Cycle Trade for more than 40 years and has stood down from the day to day running of business with his Alex at the helm. The cycle industry has seen many changes over the years and Partridge Cycles has been a proud family run business paving the way for independent cycle retailing.

Purchased my CUBE ebike full suspension just after Xmas and Scout and Pete were super helpful.Very knowledgeable, confident and re-assuring. Made it easy to decide. Helpful free service once I have done a few miles. And they took my old ebike in part exchange. Definitely love this excellent shop and the cafe with roaring fire.

A most excellent bike shop! I've had two visits in past two months. Firstly, to buy a used racing bike. Pete was really helpful and knowledgeable and I bought a great machine which I'm really enjoying riding. Yesterday, I took my badly buckled wheel (from another bike) along for straightening. They offered to fix it while I waited which was great and unexpected, so I sat with a coffee in the adjacent and aptly named Wobbly Wheel cafe. I could see the chap working on the wheel and mightily impressive it was too. It's a real skill and the wheel has been brought back from the brink! So all in all

Just bought a giant cycle from them . Cost over £500 . But they wouldn’t fit any accessories unless I payed an extra £25 on top of the cost of the accessory. Where as other cycle dealers do it for free . On top of that , they never checked the cycle over before it left the shop . Avoid them as they are just after your money

My wife and I went to Partridge Cycles just before Xmas at the beginning of November . We were looking for an E-bike and having been to several other places with limited advice , we were advised by an older gentleman called John . He was very patient and instead of hard selling us any bike he spent a long time explaining the pros and cons of the different models in stock , and we then tried the bikes on a test track . He was very knowledgable but explained things carefully and didnt pressure us at all . We ended up buying a bike each and have been very pleased , thanks John . We also found the

This bike shop is incredible! I went to get a new bike and John was incredibly helpful and quite impartial. He asked me how I planned to use it and advised me on the right bike to buy. Fast forward 5 weeks and I'm in love with my new bike but noticed a bit of a wobble in the chainset. It was incredibly easy to drop it off and pick up; and very quick to fix. It wasn't quite as dire as I expected so they did it free of charge. They will also still have my bike for its free 6 week checkup. I've had nothing but good experiences with Partridge Cycles. They're a really friendly bunch and I would (will

Excellent independent mecca for cyclists both novice, commuters and serious riders. The store is located just off the A38 at the bottom of Telegraph Hill, North side of the village of Kenn. Ample free car parking.
The Range of bikes is immense, from a separate kids section, race, hybrids and electric as well as the pro competitive bikes. A huge range of cycle accessories from bells to gears and chains, panniers and baskets are available to purchase at competitive prices, the customer service is excellent and the follow up exceptional. I have previously bought a bike for my Son from here and popped
