The last few years have been a challenging time for Caroline with pressures due to work both in the UK and France together with health & family issues and so "apologies to anyone who contacted us and didn't receive a response". As a result Caroline has decided to take some time out from MCH Interiors to concentrate on work in her properties both HERE (in Hertfordshire) and THERE (in the Haute Vienne).
So, in the meantime Caroline will report back on changes she has made, the items & people or companies used, including interesting sites and bargins or updated furniture. These will be reported on in the HERE, THERE and EVERYWHERE tabs and will include, where possible, before and after shots plus close-ups of the items including supplier information.

When we bought the Barn in France a lot of our older furniture inhertied furniture and our own Victorian styled (original or repro) were ear-marked to move over there. This meant that after many years in our modern house I was finally able to re-work the space in line with a contemporary style. A lot to think about!
This section will tell the story of our place in France with the layout plan of the building including before and after pictures of each area. It will also cover some of the design process and the decision process behind the contents used when creating our second home. But to start.
A few years ago when, as a self-employed Interior Designer work pressures made it difficult to take holidays for more than a few days at a time we decided to find a holiday home on the Continent where we could get way from it all but still keep in touch from across the Channel. We had always loved France with its lifestyle, countryside and culture not to mention the wine so began exploring the country in our search for the 'perfect' property.
