Heritage Stone Access
Founded in 2006, Heritage Stone Access Limited is a rope access company specialising in stonemasonry and conservation work on heritage buildings and monuments. Combining artisan stone workers with specialist rope access workers, all masons and carvers that work for HSAL are cathedral trained, and all rope workers are IRATA trained, this ensures that the quality of the work is done to the highest of standards.

Our skills combined allow us to access any part of an historic or modern building, survey and document the findings in a comprehensive report, carry out repairs to the fabric, and mason, carve and install the stonework.
Services
For all works a method statement and risk assessment are produced, no matter how small the project. This is given to the client so that they have a full understanding of the work that is being carried out. We are fully insured for injury or damage. All operatives are first aid trained and have a full understanding to operating in any work environment safely.
Heritage Stone Access workers are qualified and specialist in all aspects of stone masonry. All masons who work for the company are Cathedral trained and therefore have the skills and wide range of experience to work masonry, carve, letter-cut and fix on both historic and new build structures. Our craftspeople have experience in all stone types and detailing in all sorts of architectural styles.
Rope Access is an internationally recognised safe system of work governed by IRATA. Heritage Stone Access only uses IRATA trained personnel who are skilled and trained craftsmen with a broad range of experience working on historic buildings or structures meaning that we can access a project without scaffolding where the need arises.
All conservation work is carried out in a manner sensitive to the project, be that a Cathedral, a Manor House or a monument. Work includes surveying, report and specification writing, cleaning, consolidation, repair work and indenting. HSA works with lime based products including lime putties, hot limes and shelter-coats and is proud to work with specialist companies developing materials and techniques for the conservation of our heritage.
