The name of AA Taylor, Specialist Joinery Manufacturers, has been known in the City of Brighton & Hove and surrounding area for nearly 90 years. Founded in 1921 by Albert Arthur Taylor, the Company has continued to combine the traditional values of craftsmanship with new and sophisticated design techniques and machinery.

In order to fulfil demand and house a wider range of machinery, the Company which was originally located in Porthall Road Brighton, moved to Howard Terrace then onto Shaftesbury Place next door to the London Road Railway Station in Brighton from where they now operate.
Services
AA Taylor is Brighton's longest established provider of joinery services and manufacturer of timber products. A third generation family business now run by Andy & Sue Taylor and their team of highly skilled craftsmen who work with Local Authorities, Builders, Architects and Home Owners to bring a project from concept to completion.
We make Sash windows in our Brighton workshop from joinery grade softwood, hardwood or Accoya. In addition we can supply the Sash windows treated and fully spray finished in any BS or RAL colour along with lead weights and cords or spring balances, axle pulleys, sash lifts & fasteners.

Here at AA Taylor we work closely with our customers to meet their requirements and have worked with the Local Authority and Architects on various Conservation projects in Brighton & Hove and surrounding areas.
Our highly skilled craftsmen manufacture a wide range of Double Hung Box Frames & Sash Windows including Traditional Conservation single glazed sash windows, Slim double or 24mm double glazing either with weights and cords or spiral balances. The boxes and sashes of a sash window are usually manufactured from joinery grade softwood with the option of a Sapele hardwood sill.
We manufacture a wide range of Casement windows from Conservation single glazed, Slim double glazed or 24mm double glazed. Casement windows can be made in a variety of timbers including joinery grade softwood which is then Protim pressure treated, Sapele hardwood, Idigbo, Iroko, European oak, Accoya and Locally sourced Sweet Chestnut.
This versatile tilt and turn timber window is fully compliant and when correctly assembled and installed has been tested by BSI Testing Ltd. To BS5368, Parts 1, 2 & 3 and meets the requirements of the Classification for Severe Weather-tightness BS 6375, Part 1: 1989.

Our tilt and turn timber windows feature a sophisticated dual action hinge mechanism and from its bottom-hung position, the sash 'tilts' inwards, to provide fresh air without draught.From its side-hung position it 'turns' into the room to make cleaning the outside glass and maintenance easy, and escape in an emergency possible.
