The Wagon Wheel
This "off the beaten track" 15th Century Olde Worlde Public House/Restaurant can best be described as a picture postcard black and white low thatched building. In summer the well tended gardens are awash with the fragrance of lavander filled flowerbeds and hanging baskets overflowing with colourful blooms.

The perfect place to enjoy good food and friendly service. The intimate fully air conditioned restaurant with it's exposed beams, crispy white table linen and glittering crystal glasses, is the perfect venue for a romantic dinner, business lunch or Sunday family lunch. Traditional Sunday lunch is immensely popular with the Roast beef carved at your table.

Best Sunday lunch I've had for a long long while . The rib of beef was superb Lovely to find a pub/restaurant that has not been modernised. Table cloths and quality linen white napkins are rare to find these days. It is full of character and warmth. The staff are so welcoming and very attentive. Well worth a visit. You will not be disappointed.

Great lunch at the Waggon Wheel following a walk around the local area. Had the steak and ale pie which was delicious, full of flavour, with a rich gravy and stuffed full of meat. My wife had the chicken supreme with a cherry sauce which she loved. Would definitely recommend for great food and a warm welcome.

I just can't rate this place highly enough. Yes it is rather retro but what a wonderful change to have proper, pristine napery, cut glass and silver service. I like my food on a plate, not in a box, or on a plank of wood.
The food is generous, well cooked and delicious. The owner and his staff are friendly, welcoming and very attentive. What more could you want?

Sunday lunch in the garden. Excellent food, wine & service. Steak was excellent. As was leg of lamb. Always tell a good establishment by the quality of the house wine. Here it is a very good Merlot.

Really friendly place even if it can feel like in a bit of a time warp inside. Great food and a warm welcome (also takes cards).

This is how English restaurants used to be. Good old-fashioned silver service treatment. Excellent food, fabulous portions, excellent service and a sweet trolley!! My first time here was like stepping back 40 years in time when I came to England from The Netherlands. This is how food used to be served in England. We thoroughly enjoyed it and loved the fact that food was prepared in the dining room. Freshly cooked vegetables served to your plate individually too. This is a real gem and you won't find another one like it anywhere. A treasure that hopefully will remain unchanged forever.
