OP Woodcraft
My name is Oliver Piepereit and I'm a trained architectural interior designer with a passion in all aspects of arts, crafts & design. I've wanted to design & make on a small scale for many years so pulled away from the rate race and trained up in furniture design, making, French polishing, furniture restoration and furniture refinishing.

Life in the rat race was tiring, stressful, monotonous and took valuable time away from what is important in life to me, family, and health. Working in a practical creative environment has sculpted a life that is low in stress with an abundance of escapism which I'm sure translates in my work. OP Woodcraft is based at Northwick Business Centre, a bustling creative business park in the picturesque village of Blockley in the heart of the Cotswolds.
Services
At OP Woodcraft we offer a complete bespoke package in all aspects of furniture and design. We're based in our workshop at Northwick Business Centre, Blockley in the heart of the Cotswolds. Crafting focal points in any given room whilst complementing the interior design, decor and genre of a house.
Another 5 star rating for Ollie! I've just taken delivery of the most amazing table made from the wine boxes that I was sure could be used to make something beautiful. For the avoidance of doubt, I did not drink all the wine in the boxes, at least two boxes were scavenged! As for all the other projects he's undertaken, Ollie was meticulous in keeping me informed of his progress and I enjoyed seeing the table come together.
Our workshop is based in the picturesque village of Blockley, Gloucestershire in the heart of the Cotswolds, where we hand craft bespoke furniture and home decor for locally based and nationwide clients. We source hardwoods, softwoods, manufactured boards, and reclaimed wood utilising local independent businesses so to maintain our minimal carbon footprint and to support all that is local.
On top of being a designer and maker, Oliver Piepereit trained up in the art of French polishing specialising in period and mid century modern furniture restoration. Commissioned restoration work is carried out at his Cotswolds workshop based in the picturesque village of Blockley, Gloucestershire.
Keeping our minimal carbon footprint intact, OP Woodcraft specialises in recycling reclaimed wood, furniture and architectural salvage. Oliver Piepereit, a trained designer relishes bringing out-of-sorts furniture back to life and using innovative ways to bring dated furniture smack bang into the 21st Century.

There should be a rating of Excellent **. Ollie is a fantastic tutor and has so much knowledge and experience. He is so calm and has such a huge (quiet) passion for wood and its qualities. I was on a 2 day French polishing course and had some lovely pieces, all pretty old. When the instruction was that we are taking this back to the wood I thought OK you are the expert. He was so so right to take it all back and go through the whole process. I had three items and his advice was spot on, two (2) needed the full works and the third (3) needed waxing and buffing - I came home with the goods and my

I recently attended a 3 day furniture restoration course with Ollie. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned lots of valuable skills. We covered a lot of information over the 3 days and Ollie provided a very handy notes sheet to refer back on. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and Ollie ensured it was a covid safe environment to be in. I'm extremely happy with my finished piece of furniture and hope to visit again soon to learn some more! :)

I loved the three days I spent in Ollie's workshop, and especially the beautifully transformed desk that I came away with, the skills, and the newfound confidence it has given me. I’d already done a bit of restoration but I was often getting bewildered by the amount of differing advice you find online about how to tackle different issues. I needed definitive advice and guidance from an expert and I needed to be able to ask questions and that’s exactly what the three days with Ollie will give you.
I definitely feel like it might have been a game-changer for my own business (andthentomorrow

What a fabulous 5 days of learning my craft at OP Woodcraft! I would highly recommend this course. I managed to restore 2 very different pieces of furniture - I never thought I would be any good at French polishing and was so surprised how amazing they looked when I finished...
Ollie is a very patient and highly knowledgable teacher and has a well equipped workshop with plenty of space - which is great considering we had to socially distance! Thanks so much Ollie!

I booked onto the introduction to French polishing course as a complete novice and not really knowing what to expect. It was an amazing day and I learnt so much from Ollie who explained everything really clearly. I took along an old oak coffee table which had definitely seen better days and the result was brilliant! I wouldn't have believed I could achieve such a great finish in such a short time. We only had time to complete the table top, with the legs and base only getting to the staining stage, so I have a challenge now to complete the piece at home, but feel totally inspired and well equipped
