Our Practice Manager plays a major role in the organisation and daily running of the practice. She is available to address your non-medical enquiries and also to discuss any suggestions or complaints. Our five receptionists are trained to help you and are your link with the rest of the practice. The more information you are able to give them, the more they will be able to assist you.

Please help them to help you, by telephoning for routine appointments and results of tests in the afternoon. The practice employs three state registered nurses. Morning and afternoon clinics are held by appointment. The nurses deal with minor injuries and ailments, removal of sutures, ear syringing, travel advice, immunisations, and run chronic disease clinics.
Services
People have a right to expect safe, high quality care. As the regulator of health and social care in England, CQC plays a vital role in making sure that care services meet those expectations. All registered GP providers are now legally required to meet the national standards of quality and safety. Our Registration number is: 1-567845968.
Between 0800 and 1830 please telephone 01548 842284: a receptionist will put you in touch with a doctor. To save time you may be advised to call an ambulance. The out-of-hours service is the responsibility of NHS111 during weekends, bank holidays and 1830-0800 weekdays.

If you have an urgent medical need, which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens, please telephone NHS 111 where you will receive advice and if necessary, onward care to an appropriate health care provider, which may be the out of hours doctors' service.
If you need medical help fast but it's not a life-threatening situation, you can now call the new NHS 111 number. When you call 111, a trained adviser will ask you questions to find out what's wrong, give you medical advice and direct you to someone who can help you, like an out-of-hours doctor or a community nurse.
We would like to know how to improve our services and are setting up a patient representation group PRG so you can have your say. We will ask questions from this group from time to time; such as, what you think about quality of care. We will use various methods of contact according to your preferences.
Following the recent outbreak of measles in North Devon, please see the leaflet below for information and advice. The most effective way of preventing measles is the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine. The first MMR vaccination should be given when your child is around 13 months old and a booster is given before your child starts school.

I lived in Salcombe up in Batson from the age of 12yrs. Redfern HC was our family medical centre. We only live here now about 5 months of the year and over the years have continued to use the services of this fantastic Centre. All the staff from the receptionists to the Medical Team go above and beyond. A special thanks to Tessa at reception and to Amy their nurse for fitting me in so quickly

All staff at Redfern have gone above and beyond for my family over the years and I am so grateful for the care they've received. Especially during these difficult times, I cannot praise the attitude and dedication of the doctors here highly enough.
