We are open and still able to offer a full range of services. We are doing all we can to keep everyone safe by following the latest advice from the NHS and the government. We provide a service that is designated as essential. Our local helplines are open daily from 8am to 8pm. As is always the case, we are happy to answer any questions and to discuss your specific needs.

Goodwills Legal Services Ltd is a specialist legal services practice managed by solicitors. Since 2003 Goodwills has assisted over 60,000 people across the country with making a Will and with a range of other legal arrangements. This is our local website for the helpful and professional service we provide to people in Wiltshire, Bath, Somerset and the neighbouring areas.
Services
Goodwills offer a comprehensive Will writing service and, during your appointment, we will go over every aspect of your estate in order to ensure that it passes in accordance with your intentions.

There are a variety of Trusts that we can include within our Wills, or separate freestanding Trusts we can set up, which make sure that your Will is tax efficient and avoids all too common pitfalls such as children being cut out or your Estate not passing to your chosen beneficiaries due to remarriage or care home fees.
Goodwills are able to create a wide range of trusts. Details of the most popular trusts (for children, for the disabled, and for property) we use are listed below, however we are able to provide a wider range of trust services - details can be provided on request. A Children's Protective Trust is a type of Trust that is set up to ensure that your children are able to have responsible access to funds as they grow up.
A Lasting Power of Attorney appoints one or more trusted people who can act on your behalf and, if necessary, make decisions in your best interests, should you not be able to do so at any point in the future. We believe that having Lasting Powers of Attorney in place is just as important as having a Will.
Prepaid and pay monthly funeral plans give peace of mind to you and your family, reduce stress and can in a number of different ways save significant amounts of money. A prepaid or pay monthly funeral plan can take away much of the financial and emotional burden from your family at the moment when they are least able to cope with it.
When a loved one passes away, it's always a difficult and emotional time. To further complicate things, someone inevitably has to administer the estate, including dealing with all assets, accounts and any debts outstanding at the time of their death. We are here to help and are happy to answer any queries you may have.
