Services
Cranwood Industries can offer a service of machining, trenching and assembling of door frames to suit all doors sizes. Whether it is for your private home or commercial building, we can supply frames to suit all internal and fire door sizes including a machined groove for installation of an intumescent strip.
Cembrit Plank is the ideal alternative to timber weatherboarding but does not require preservative treatment and is not susceptible to fire. Smooth or textured options give you the choice of a surface finish together with a colour to make your projects almost unique. It can be installed like timber weatherboard products.
Internal doors are no longer just an afterthought when building or refurbishing a property, they are considered a vital part of the interior scheme and purchasers increasingly know exactly what they are looking for. At our sister Branches at Murdock Builders Merchants, you will find a wide selection of quality traditional and contemporary doors on display in our Doors and Floors Studios at competitive prices.
Wood is a natural and sustainable material and is increasingly being specified by architects for use in modern residential and commercial buildings. The increase in the use of external timber cladding on buildings in particular has been quite dramatic, as architects combine its beauty and sustainability to build in an environmentally friendly way without any loss of the aesthetic value of the building.
Charred Timber Cladding is a traditional technique which originated by the Japanese in the 18th Century for cladding buildings. This method is referred to Shou Sugi Ban which translates to 'burnt cedar wood'. This process can be applied to various timber species offering their own aesthetics. The selected Timber Species can offer a durability for up to 80+ years - pending of depth of burn style.
