We are accepting new vet referrals and upon receipt will contact you by phone to discuss your animal and their current issues. We are still visiting yards and farms and now also your home. We are trying to see animals outside in the fresh air where possible. We still request that you wear a mask if we need to be near each other to handle your animal.

If you would prefer a video consult we are happy to do so. All Classic Physiotherapy Physiotherapists are highly qualified Professionals and are ACPAT and RAMP registered Veterinary Physiotherapists who specialises in the treatment and physical rehabilitation of dogs, horses, cats and other animals within Oxfordshire, Swindon and surrounding counties.
Services
I happily travel all over Oxfordshire and neighbouring counties to treat horses, dogs and other pets. I am registered with the CSP, ACPAT and RAMP.
Horses are athletes no matter what kind of or level of work they do. They benefit from regular Physiotherapy to reduce risk of injury and help comfort and work. Physiotherapy is also paramount for rehabilitation after an injury, particularly limb or back injury or operation. All athletes need detailed return to sport programs that looks at them as an individual.
Horses are athletes, whether they compete or hack out. All athletes that have had injury should have specific rehabilitation routines prescribed in order to bring them back to athletic performance. Physiotherapists and trainers work together with the athlete to provide the unique rehabilitation that the athlete needs.
Chartered Physiotherapists have in-depth training and experience of managing tendon and ligament injuries in athletes. Our horses are athletes and deserve to have first class treatment and management of their injury with a bespoke rehab therapy to return them to work. It is not good enough to hope for the best using box rest, general graded return to exercise and time.
Like you, your horse will benefit greatly from developing their core stability through the use of pilates. The core stability muscles protect the joints in the back when the power muscles are working under saddle or lunge work. These are endurance muscles that are improved by working at slow paces doing work that successfully challenges the balance reactions.

Nycky started working with my troublesome terrier Wombat after a tendon injury. We'd tried shockwave therapy with a specialist with mild improvement, but it was sessions with Nycky that seemed to do the most. He's now sound and winding down his physio after an injury that had him on lead walks for months. He really enjoyed his sessions with Nycky, who's been brilliant with him. This morning, as all mornings, he went for a run. As a vet, it's great to see first hand the level of knowledge and quality of care that Nycky provides, and I'll be happy to keep referring cases to her.

I've used Nycky to help my Agility dog this year. Well I was a bit surprised at what a physio could achieve with a dog, but have to say I wish I'd done this earlier in my dog's career (and of course in hindsight his predecessors!!). Since our treatment Kaz has become much stronger on the turns, and more confident on the downside of the A-frames and Seesaws.
I will definitely be getting Nycky to MOT Kaz on a regular basis to keep him on top form for the season.
