I started my career in recruitment back in 2006, supplying chefs and catering staff to local pubs and restaurants. Two years later, I joined a recruitment company that specialised in office support staff, where I stayed for nine years moving up the career ladder.
With 11 years' experience under my belt, I decided to launch Aspiria Recruit in 2017 so that I could build a recruitment business that really cares about servicing the local business community in Exeter.I believe that successful recruitment is all about building the strongest relationships built on trust and honesty, whilst also setting and meeting the right levels of expectation.

James was a huge help when I applied for a vacancy, gave me some very useful information and advice, and was very prompt giving feedback from my 2 stage interview process. Extremely professional and helpful at all times, and was genuinely pleased for me when I was offered the job!! Have had some unpleasant experiences with recruitment agencies in the past so I'm always dubious when dealing with them, but this was absolutely not the case with Asperia. My experience with James was outstanding from the first contact. With Covid still being a huge part of the world I was extremely apprehensive about changing career, I stuck to applying for the same kind of role to play it safe. After one phone call with James he had put my name forward for a role that to be quite frank, I never imagined I would be good enough for. Gave James my CV on a Friday, had a response within 2 hours spoke with him the next day. By Sunday my CV was sent to law firms and I had secured 2 online interviews due Thursday. James gave me a prep talk the day before the interviews which was full of useful information which was vital to my success.
Then on the Thursday an hour after I had finished my first interview he called me to confirm I had got the job. I start in 10 days this has been my fastest experience getting a job and James was attentive and professional throughout.

I have used legal recruiters before for advice and to assist in obtaining roles in the legal sector. However I can safely say that since working with James I have no intention of using other recruiters. He was excellent and so helpful in helping me obtain a new role. He is very knowledgeable about the market, and also continued to support me for over a year to look for the perfect role. This is the best recruitment company I have been in contact with. I have only this year completed a specialist paralegal course in residential conveyancing, following 9 years working freelance and part-time whilst being the stay-at-home parent.
However, within days of my initial contact with James, he had arranged for me to meet with a local firm of solicitors that… did not necessarily have a position to offer, but that he had convinced my CV was worth consideration. James then agreed a second meeting with two directors of the firm on my behalf, and the offer of a week's 'work experience' was swiftly made.

I was contacted by James after posting my cv on an internet job site. He has helped me in finding work which I am due to start in a couple of weeks time.
