Kung Fu is not just a fighting style. It also encompasses self defence, mental and physical health and well being, self discipline, endurance, balance, and confidence. Founded by Gini Lau, 8th generation and youngest daughter of the late Grand Master Lau Fat Mang, WECA focuses on training individuals of all ages in the traditional Chinese Kung Fu style of Eagle Claw.
Matt Williams currently holds classes in Aldershot, Farnborough, and Hawley; with students from the surrounding towns in the Surrey and north Hampshire/Hants area. The roots of Eagle Claw Kung Fu can be traced back over 850 years to the Sung Dynasty, where the system was created by General Yui Feh.

Kung Fu is not just a fighting style. It also encompasses self defense, mental and physical health and well being, self discipline, endurance, balance and confidence. The World Eagle Claw Association (WECA) provides training for all of these areas. Founded by Gini Lau, 8th generation youngest daughter of the late Grand Master Lau Fat Mang, WECA focuses on training individuals of all ages in the traditional Chinese Kung Fu style of Eagle Claw.
The WECA kung fu has a core curriculum that we work through consisting of various techniques and applications (including striking, kicking, throwing, and grappling), and a set of form sequences*.
Students are encouraged to partner up and test the material being taught, starting in an exploratory and fully controlled environment; progressing towards working with resistive partners, pressure testing the techniques to ensure that they aren't only working because your opponent lets them work.Gradings are only performed when both the student and the instructor feels they are ready.

The Tai Chi classes are an excellent way for helping bring the body and mind back into balance and harmony. It also helps to tone the muscles and stretch the body, while at the same time develops deep rhythmic breathing and a calm mind. The classes involve activities such as Chi Gung (breathing), the Chen style forms, and various exercises such as 'silk reeling' and 'push hands'.
Otherwise, there are many differences between Kung Fu and Karate in terms of the body method and approach to training. A. The idea is that you attend Kung Fu in order to become fitter, healthier, slimmer, more competent AND self-confident! We only accept five-year-olds at our 'family' classes, provided that their parent participates too.
Lion dance is an essential part of any traditional Chinese Kung Fu school, and was used to help demonstrate the skill of the students and style. Training is open to all school members and is highly encouraged, as it compliments the kung fu training and helps with improving confidence outside of classes.

Love this place. Started during lockdown which wasn't ideal and not only have I managed to learn during this time but the bunch of people there are also so welcoming that I've also made a group of new friends. All ages and skill levels work well together.

I’m now in my 14th year of training at this class and I can’t imagine my life without it now. This is a very friendly class with an excellent and dedicated Sifu. It’s a great class for any person of any age. My physical and mental strength as well as my confidence has increased dramatically

Been going to these classes for the last 15 years. Without them i wouldn't be able to have as much confudence as i do or have made the friends i have. The instructor is great and all the classes are well worth going. I wouldn't see how my life would be without them. Everyone becomes family and it makes me feel confident in my ability of what i have been taught.

I've been at this school since i was four years old and i have been black belt for close on five years now and the school is brilliant for people of all ages, the younger juniors class gives kids a great set of skills for dealing with self esteem, bullying and fitness, the adults class gives you the skills you need to deal with confrontation as well as how to defend yourself and eliminate a problem quickly whilst putting your own safety first.
