We are part of a family run business which has been operating since 1929, under Sidney G Dyson as a furniture shop. In 1952 it was changed to a clock shop by his son in law Emil Skiba who upon his retirement past the business to his daughter Jo Elwood. Who now runs it with Garry Martin and her daughter Vicky Elwood.
In 2010 greenman antiques was opened on the opposite side of the road from the clock shop. Specializing in 17th -19th century mahogany, walnut and oak furniture, Georgian silver, fine china, jewelery, collectibles and decorative glassware. We didn't want it to feel like every other antique shop. We wanted a shop that was warm, friendly and inviting.
