Services
Osteopathy is a system of healthcare based on the principle that your health is dependent on the good functioning and balance within the tissues of your body. When your body is in good balance, it can respond to and recover from illness, but when it is subjected to undue stresses and strains (both physical and emotional) these may prevent it from recovering as effectively.
Cranial osteopathy is a gentle and relaxing style of osteopathy that takes advantage of your body's innate mechanisms of self-management and repair. Cranial osteopaths use a highly developed sense of touch to feel subtle changes in tension and tissue quality and use gentle balancing techniques to allow your body to unwind these patterns and allow it to function better.
At Whitley Bay Osteopathic Centre, we regularly see patients of all ages, shapes and sizes and levels of physical fitness. Many of our patients have aches and pains in their muscles and joints, ranging from back pain, neck pain, shoulder or knee pain to pain in their big toe.
However, as our approach is holistic, i.e. looking at you as a whole, not just the various parts that make you up, but how they interact, our treatments can help with a broad range of things.Osteopathy works on the principle that for you to be in good health your physical body needs to be in good balance.

I cannot recommend Whitley Bay Osteopathic Centre enough!
From start to finish, the experience was really positive. Anne looked after me when I was pregnant and struggling with SPD (PGP). I was struggling to walk, couldn’t lift anything (including my toddler), bend to the floor or even turn over in bed without extreme pain.
I was apprehensive about going to see an Osteopath but I was put at ease immediately by Catherine on reception. I didn’t hold out much hope that the treatment would help (I had been in pain for 6 months and my antenatal team just said it was part of being pregnant) but

I recently had a couple of treatments with Fleur regarding a back problem, first time I’ve needed to visit an Osteopath and didn’t know what to expect. Well I can only say that I was treated with care and respect and Fleur is such a lovely person I immediately felt at ease with her, she spent time working on my back and explained to me about… breathing correctly and how that would help my problem, gave me excercise s to do at home and overall helped me greatly. I highly recommend this practice and won’t hesitate to tell my friends to use it if they need help in the future

Excellent service, from the process of booking an appointment over the phone to the actual appointment on the day.
This is the first time I have visited an Osteopath and I would highly recommend the Whitley Bay Osteopathic Centre. My appointment was with Nicola who was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. Overall a very positive experience.
