Unable to make his usual excursions around the British Isles for new inspiration last year, Norman Ackroyd. John Hoyland is one of the best known and respected British abstract artists. For many of the shows at the Eames Fine Art Gallery, we publish an exhibition catalogue. These are filled with gorgeous images of the included works of art, which are introduced by an essay that focuses on one or several of the main themes of the show. With much of the art world going digital now, we've decided to make these catalogues available to view for free here, where you can browse the pages and read the introductory essays.
Watch Anita Klein introduce her exhibition 'Together' at Watts Contemporary Gallery, in partnership with Eames Fine Art. Eames Fine Art hosts a range of special events at our Studio, Gallery and Print Room, including artist talks, art-film screenings, themed discussions, printmaking demonstrations, artist studio tours, previews and other events for our clients. This was a bit of a surprise not sure if it is a welder turned artist or vice versa but the displays were both creative, impressive and a bit sinister all at the same time. The displays exclusively constructed from engineering components almost had a presence of their own beyond their inanement parts. It was almost as though like a terminator they might come to life an cause haveock.

Eames Fine Art is a small commercial gallery in the heart of Bermondsey Street. Oft overlooked (by myself many times I will admit) it actually does a really wonderful job of exhibiting and promoting international and local artist in their perfectly laid out space!
Staff are always friendly, and the front door is always open - which is great to see! I hate galleries that make you feel like an intruder with door bells and buzzers to let you in. They update the space on a regular basis - I want to say monthly but I walk past the gallery everyday so it might be more/less often!
