Services
We can undertake structural design for all works associated with an alteration, conversion or extensions or only specific items as requested. We can also undertake design for new build. Structural design calculations can be prepared for the most common building materials including steel, timber, masonry and concrete.
There are two main types of Structural Engineer Survey Reports, both of which can be undertaken by JAB Structures. These include a General Structural Survey Report and a Specific Structural Survey Report. The Survey Reports are undertaken on a set fee basis and will involve a visual inspection and report on the defects which may have been identified by a Surveyor or concerned property owner.

We needed a structural report to progress a property sale. Jab Structures was one of a number shortlisted via local surveyors direct. We emailed Jason the details and asked to get this underway ASAP.
Despite chasing both via email and telephone we never heard back. Sadly we have wasted time much needed where we could have appointed someone else more reliable. Based on our experience I would recommend going elsewhere.

Jason was excellent from our first telephone contact, throughout the site visit / assessment, and afterwards in drawing up the detailed plans, structural calculations, etc. for our proposed works (including everything we will need for Building Regs and to obtain builder quotes, etc.). Friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and helpful....we would have no hesitation in using Jason again in the future.

I commissioned Jason to produce a structural engineers report on specific areas of a property I was buying.

I contacted Jason for a structural survey on a house we are in the process of purchasing. He emailed me back that afternoon even though he was out of office, and the survey was undertaken later that week.
The report was sent through the next week and was extremely in depth, although the wording used was easy to understand for a layman. Every aspect was covered and a very useful conclusion and recommendations for further investigations were included.
All in all Jason provided and extremely efficient and comprehensive service. Many thanks.

We received an excellent service from JAB Structures. We had a few issues to investigate following our homebuyers survey and engaged JAB Structures to provide a general report which was extensive and gave us a very clear understanding of the structural work required. Jason was extremely quick to respond to our enquiry and was available to help and provide further guidance once we had reviewed the report. Highly recommended!

I've just JAB twice now and on both occasions I've found Jason Burstow to be absolutely fantastic, as you would expect from a structural engineer he has amazing attention to detail and is extremely through. He is also very helpful with advice and recommendations, he was kind enough to help us out with some additional sketches for another potential job to help us relay the requirement to builders and to deal with local building control. I highly recommend JAB and will always use them again in the future.
