The Olde England Kiosk is a Grade II listed building located in the heart of Darwen's picturesque Sunnyhurst woods. Established in 1912 this historic venue has a truly unique feel and its dramatic natural surroundings are perfect for beautiful photos. We are a small family run business who really know how to look after our guests and would love to host your special event.

Services
Originally built as a Tearoom the Olde England Kiosk is a medium sized hall located in the heart of Sunnyhurst woods. The hall was built in a Tudor style and its double height beamed room is full of olde world charm. Visitors may park in front of the Kiosk itself or across the bridge in the clearing.
Our Wedding packages have been designed to suit a variety of requirements and budgets. Should you want a more bespoke package please contact us with your ideas for a quote. We are a small family run business and have the time to tailor your unique wedding just the way you want it - After all its your Wedding Day and should be exactly how you dream it!
Our lovely woodland venue is available for private parties and is exclusively yours for the duration of your event. Sorry but we do not allow outside catering. We have a variety of food ideas but can also provide something bespoke if you have your own ideas or requests. We can seat a maximum of 80 people for a sit down meal and have a capacity of up to 100 with a mix of standing and seated guests.

My husband and I had the most perfect day, despite being in a pandemic. Donna was a calming influence to my micromanaging self and needless to say everything was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble from my… emails at stupid o'clock in the morning to making sure my husband had a rum rather than a prosecco. Thank you for everything Donna ❤

What can I say?! I wish I could give more stars! We booked this venue in 2018 for our wedding that should have taken place in July. Due to covid, we had no choice but to postpone the wedding and Donna made it so much easier for us. She was so flexible and kept us up to date with the latest guidance and was always at the end of the phone if we had any questions. I was so worried about how the day was going to play out with more restrictions in place, but even with them - it was still magical. A gorgeous venue with a really beautiful setting at amazing value. My husband and I had the most perfect wedding day here, the venue was absolutely wonderful. Donna and Mark made us and our families so comfortable all day. The ceremony and meal decor was all set up absolutely… beautifully and made our day so special. The meal was lovely and service was great. The grounds are beautiful and we have lots of gorgeous pictures from our families, we can't wait to get our professional photographs. Donna and Mark were always happy to answer my relentless emails and messageseading up to the day too! I would definitely recommend having an event here.

We were married here in December. I fell in love with the Kiosk instantly. And loved the day here, Donna and the team were amazing everything was so easy due to there help, The decor was beautiful,. the food was fabulous, The cheesecake was talked about for weeks. Had my wedding day at the Olde England Koisk in July. It was magical. The decor was perfect. The staff were brilliant. The owner/planner of the Koisk was very attentive and answered any questions I had even if it was at 10 at night and she was very kind as well as gave me little pep talks when i really needed it. The food was absolutly brilliant my husband still raves about the bbq burgers. This was a perfect venue for our wedding couldn't have asked for a better one.

The kiosk holds a very special place in my heart. 13 years ago I got married there and in July of this year we had my brothers wake there. As my brother was only 30, we wanted a wake that he would have loved so we requested a bbq. The hosting and food were fantastic and they made what was a very difficult day perfect and just as we requested. I can't thank them enough and would highly recommend the olde England kiosk.
