Dave Ford Tree Care
Dave trained at Merrist Wood College, one of the most highly regarded land-based training colleges in the UK. After achieving his National Diploma in Arboriculture in 1998, Dave worked for several local Arborists before starting Dave Ford Tree Care in 2002. Since then, the company has continued to grow from strength to strength into the professional and successful business it is today.

Dave travelled to Australia and America working as a tree surgeon on some of the largest tree species in the world. Returning home via Europe, Dave gained valuable experience on tree species more native to the UK. Time has moved on since Dave began the company and did everything himself and now employs a full time office team as well as multiple teams of arborists delivering services across Surrey, Sussex, Kent and London.
Services
At Dave Ford Tree Care we are committed to preserving and managing trees with care and consideration, whilst also meeting our client's needs and wishes. We are professional in all areas of tree works including felling, reduction, pruning, trimming, pollarding and stump removal. Prior to work commencing, we can offer personalised, expert advice which is informed by the most up to date practices, techniques and industry knowledge.
We will arrange a convenient date and time to visit and discuss your requirements and the appropriate method of achieving them. This initial visit is completely free of charge. This will involve a risk assessment being carried out to ensure the safety of the works. Within 24 hours we will either email or post your full quote including all options that have been discussed at your initial visit.
There are many different things to think about when discussing the role of tree work and the law. All professional tree surgery services must adhere to many quite strict regulations and as a company we ensure that we carry out all our works to British Standard BS3998. Some trees and hedges are protected by legislations with a specific Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or because they stand in a conservation area.
We recognise that the nature of our work may have a negative impact on the environment, and as such we have devised a code of practice for our tree surgeons to help minimise and mitigate any damage. By following good Arboricultural practice, backed up by a good understanding of tree biology, we can minimise the stresses placed on trees whilst we work on them.

Report
They are neighbours to us who carried out a hedge reduction job. They were professional in their business approach. Quote was sent immediately and appointment was fixed. The very pleasant work force of three arrived on time and did the work well to specification.
They were a pleasure to have on site. I have no hesitation in recommending them.
