We are an award winning long established (1956) traditional family Butchers who pride ourselves on the quality of our free range meats and meat products. All of our meat is prepared on the premises, as are all our sausages, burgers and pies. The business is owned by John & Cheryl Dickinson. Between us and our staff we have over 145 years experience in the meat trade.

Our meats are prepared in-house by our talented staff who will be happy to help assist you in choosing the very best cut available. We make all our own sausages, burgers and pies and cure all our own bacon.
Here at George Arthurs, we pride ourselves in supplying only the very best, locally sourced range of BBQ products. All of our BBQ meats are very versatile and can be cooked indoors in the oven or weather permitting on the BBQ. Other BBQ products include marinaded ribs, pork in plum sauce, char siu duck and minted lamb leg steaks.

Here at George Arthurs we pride ourselves with the outstanding hand selected beef that we source, we condition to its absolute prime resulting in the the most flavoursome and tender cut of beef, from your Traditional Corner Cut of Topside, T-Bone to your elegant French Trimmed & Chined Rib of Beef.
Here at George Arthurs, we pride ourselves in supplying only the very best, locally sourced range of Lamb products. Our lamb is grass fed, Scottish or West Devon in origin, where they get the benefits of lush grass pastures. We also offer other Lamb Products such as Lamb Pinwheels, Crowns of Lamb an Lamb Grill Steaks.

Really well stocked local butchers with some different products that always make you want to try something new. Their pork pies are awesome. Different from the norm - try one! I always end up spending more than I wanted to which is a great indication of the offer. A little pricey but worth it to support a local business.

What an amazing butchers shop full of high quality products and a incredible friendly and helpful team. I've had several variety's of their products, however the steaks are second to none. They're so delicious and perfect every time.

Recently hired George Arthur Butchers to supply a Hog Roast for a work event, they were incredibly friendly and helpful right from the initial contact, through to the delivery and service on the day. The food was great and completely hassle free from start to finish. Will definitely use again for future events.

A fantastic Butchers with a superb selection. Not only do they have traditional cuts of meats but also oven ready meals, creative products, dry aged beef and their own made pies ( I would definitely recommend the pork pies! ). I have always found the staff to be extremely helpful offering advice with how much I would need to purchase and for cooking instructions.

A shameful, unprofessional service regarding my booking for a hog roast. After picking up details, I phoned and my order for a hog roast was accepted and booked for Saturday 4th August. Closer to the date, I phoned again to discuss details. I was expecting George Arthur staff to arrive at 12 noon or before, and serve from 1pm at a Bagshot event.
I was told Impossible! We don't close the shop until 4.30pm. After an unsatisfactory conclusion to my call, I was advised to call Mr John Dickinson the next day after 10am. This I did and spoke once again to the person with whom I had previously placed
