Jurassic Tree Services is owned and operated by expert tree surgeon Jacob Mummery and his wife, Rose. With their family-run business ethos, they service large-scale projects covering all of Devon including Exeter, Torquay and further afield. Jacob entered the tree care industry in 1996, working for a North Devon tree surgeon.
After gaining his NPTC in 1998, he subsequently worked in line clearance for SWEB (now Western Power Distribution). His years of experience include working for Exmoor National Park and freelancing for numerous companies and private Devon residences. After moving to Exmouth and realising there was a niche in the market for a personal touch, Jacob started Jurassic Tree Services in 2012.

Trees are significant features in green spaces up and down the country, dominating cities and suburbs alike. However, they really do need to be well maintained to keep them healthy, safe and looking at their best. Exceptional job, efficient, professional and other than the garden looking 100%different you would not know they had been. Everything tidied better than when they arrived. This is the second year Jacob has been to trim our hedge. It was a real mess before he's done a fantastic job to get it looking really lovely again.

The tree stood proudly at the centre of the garden for generations, slowly but surely time took its toll and the tree started to wither and decay. The once mighty tree's time had passed, it was now time to take it down. So the old tree was carefully removed, but there was one thing that stubbornly refused to budge - The Stump!

I emailed 5 tree surgeons at the same time. Jacob had replied, visited to discuss the best way forward, and booked in the work before the second even replied - and the rest didn't bother to respond at all! He and his team were all polite, helpful, tidy and lovely to deal with. I'm quite sad there's nothing else I need them for!

Jacob and his team made short work of safely removing two trees and cutting back an overgrown hedge. They worked tirelessly during bad weather to complete the work, removing all the waste and leaving the site clean and tidy. I would have no hesitation in employing them again. An efficient and professional service.

First class service from Jurassic Tree Services from start to finish. We were given honest advice and information about the copper beech tree in our small domestic garden. A successful application to reduce its size went to East Devon Council. The work went ahead and we are very happy with the new tree shape and the amount of light that now comes through the canopy. We will definitely use their services again.

Jacob kindly came out and gave me a quote for removing a Hawthorn tree from my front garden and to take out a hedge along with the roots. The job was done on the day and time that was agreed. Jacob was polite and friendly and got on with the task to hand. He also made sure that everything was left neat and tidy and cleared up before leaving. Thank you for a great job done and I would 100% recommend you to others.
