Dickinson
With almost 400 years of collective art world experience, Dickinson specialises in privately and discreetly handling rare Old Masters through to Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary masterpieces. Established in 1993 by Simon Dickinson, formerly Senior Director of Christie's Old Master & British Pictures, and David Ker, a dealer in 18th and 19th Century British Pictures, the firm rapidly earned its reputation as a leading London dealership for Old Master & British Paintings, and also opened a gallery in New York.
Services
Dickinson advises clients on all aspects of buying, selling, and collection management, constantly seeking out opportunities in the market as they arise. Dickinson is happy to assist with the sale of a single great work of art or an entire collection or estate, and bring a personalised, comprehensive service from start to finish.
Dickinson handles a uniquely broad range of quality artworks, from early Renaissance masters through to blue-chip Contemporary artists, and is able to assist buyers and sellers across a wide spectrum.

In addition to our offices in London and New York, Dickinson works with consultants based across Europe, relying on decades of experience in the art market and familiarity with the world's greatest collections to offer our clients a discreet and professional service. For reasons of confidentiality there are a significant number of artworks which we are unable to illustrate here.
Fairs are now a significant part of the art world's global calendar, providing an opportunity to showcase works to private collectors and museums alike, resulting in many high profile sales. Dickinson has firmly established itself at two international TEFAF fairs: Maastricht in March, and the more recently established New York edition in May.
In the past quarter-century since Dickinson Gallery was founded, the art world has witnessed a number of historic events, such as the surpassing of the $100 million mark for a single work at auction, and, more recently, the nearly half-billion dollars paid for Leonardo's 'Salvator Mundi'. New international art fairs, including Frieze Masters, have been inaugurated, and new museums such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi opened.
Unless we already know you, we do not know what your collecting interests might be and how we may assist. We would therefore appreciate the opportunity to welcome you to one of our galleries the next time your travels bring you to London or New York, so that we might give you a tour and discuss your collecting brief.
