Services
Biggar RFC acknowledges its responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of all children in Biggar RFC from harm. Biggar RFC recognises that all children have the right to participate in rugby union in a safe, enjoyable and positive environment whilst at the same time being protected from abuse, neglect or poor practice.
Best facilities in Scottish club Rugby? Biggar RFC is very proud of the progress that has been made in developing facilities that provide our members with some of the best facilities nationwide. There were initially two pitches there, and third was constructed in 2002 but wasn't really usable due to drainage problems.
Biggar RFC is committed to protecting and ensuring safety of its players at all age groups. It is the responsibility of those who coach or teach the game to ensure that players are prepared in a manner which ensures safe practices. We also have 2 fully qualified physios based at Biggar RFC that have served the club for the past few seasons.
Established in 2017 is our senior Ladies setup. Building on the success of our girls teams Biggar Ladies provides a blend of competitive and social rugby for anyone interested in playing the sport. Our Ladies section continues to grow and now competes in the Tennent's West League. Ex 2nd team, Youth Coach and Club President John Bogle has recently taken on the role as Team manager for the Ladies Squad.
Biggar RFC also offers a social rugby to those retired from the competitive game. Our over 35 squad plays an annual tie with local rivals Peebles as well as a few other fixtures throughout the season. Biggar RFC was the only club side to put a veterans squad for the Edinburgh City 7s tournament in 2019.

A lovely part of the world the reason for my visit was to watch a rugby match between Biggar and Ayr. We arrived at a very good facility in plenty of time to have lunch which was excellent service was first class weather perfect but unfortunately although we had a lovely time the rugby game didn't finish as we wished Ayr werev beaten so our journey home was very muted.

I am rugby player who has experienced the great comradory of everybody involved in the rugby club. After every game there is food provided in the club house which can also be used for parties and it has a bar and kitchen within it. There are many changing rooms and the pitches are in great condition. It's a great place.
