Services
At Amethyst Chiropractic Clinic, patients of of all ages and in all levels of physical health come to receive the highest quality care in a welcoming, friendly environment. Our approach to health is simple - we help you get well and stay that way. We address the cause of your problem and not just the symptoms.
Did you know 4 out of 5 people at some time in their life will suffer from back pain and the relief of this is one of the most common reasons people consult a chiropractor. Chiropractic has been clinically proven to be an effective treatment for mechanical causes of lower back pain.

In addition to providing relief of such symptoms there are often reported benefits in the form of improvements in overall well-being, especially if this is combined with the change to healthier lifestyle choices.Back pain can start following a specific incident, such as bending awkwardly or lifting a heavy weight.
Many people assume that any acute lower back pain must be due to a "slipped disc". However, discs cannot actually slip. Instead, any pain you are experiencing may be a result from a disk bulging, tearing, rupturing, or degenerating. A spinal disc is like a cushion between the front parts of the vertebrae and just like a cushion they can change shape, tear or bulge, which can then lead discs pressing onto the nerves.
While your cervical spine can move your head in nearly every direction, it's this very flexibility which makes your neck susceptible to pain and injury. The majority of people with neck pain have 'simple' or mechanical neck pain which may involve muscle, joints and ligaments. There are many different stresses and traumas that can easily affect the movement and function of the neck.
After lower back and neck pain, headaches are one of the most common symptoms people present to a Chiropractor for assessment and treatment. Some are occasional, some frequent, some are dull and throbbing, and some cause debilitating pain and nausea. There can be many causes of headaches however, research shows that spinal manipulation may be an effective treatment for headaches arising from the neck.

As a fellow Chiropractor running my own busy clinic , I have received treatment for back and neck pain from Jamie Fraser - Nash for many years. His friendly but professional approach make it an excellent experience and always feel so much better after treatment - even though he and I both know it often takes several treatments to sort me out!! His clinic premises look very smart, and his receptionists are always very welcoming and efficient - both face to face and over the phone. I will always recommend this clinic to patients of mine who ask me about a chiropractor in the Bournemouth and Poole

I have been receiving care from Jamie on a monthly maintenance programme for some years, mainly for my neck & upper back although he has helped me through my rehab following a bunion removal & a wrist injury in the past.
He offers advice, recommends exercises to do at home & the occasional anatomy & physiology lesson to help you understand your condition & treatment better !
Jamie is an excellent caring professional with a pleasant & friendly manner.
I would also like to mention the lovely, helpful receptionists who always welcome you with a smile.
I highly recommend the Amethyst Clinic.

After suffering with lower back pain and a creaking neck for some time a colleague recommended Jamie Fraser-Nash at the Amethyst Clinic as other therapies had proved ineffective. I am extremely pleased that I did as my symptoms have been ameliorated and I have been guided on a path to improving my fitness and strength. I now visit the clinic on a maintenance program, feeling fitter and more confident.
Jamie has a thorough and professional approach to his work and I have always felt that he has time for me. I have no hesitation in recommending the welcoming and friendly Amethyst Clinic to anyone

I had been told by the NHS that I was suffering from Sciatica and was being fed strong pain killers. A lot of pain killers!
I am on heart medication for a blocked artery (now protected by a stent)that interrupted my so far healthy life in 2004 and so I can't take anti-imflamatories.
After about a month I was not getting any better. I was getting more sleep because the medication was knocking me out and masking the pain.
I became concerned because I run my own freelancing business and I was incredibly busy with a pipeline of heavier work looming.
I was walking around with a walking stick like
