Services
The Macleod family have been running the Port Beag Achiltibuie accommodation chalets since 1975, and we aim to do all we can to make your holiday with us one that leaves you with very special memories of a very special place. Our location is truly breathtaking - we are set on the shore front looking over the bay to Old Dornie Harbour, and out to the Summer Isles and Minch.
Pets are very welcome at our self-catering holiday accommodation Achiltibuie with no charge but must be supervised at all times as there are often livestock in adjacent crofts. We do not have a limit on the number of dogs we welcome, but please let us know how many you would like to bring when you book.
The Achiltibuie Area offers a wealth of leisure activities including a popular cruise around the Summer Isles with the opportunity to land and explore, or to enjoy the panoramic views whilst having your picnic lunch. Varieties of fishing are available. Permits are required and are available locally to fish on the banks or by boat for sea trout and salmon on lochs and rivers.
We often hear rave reviews (and can endorse this personally!) from guests about the local eateries & food producers. Below you will find a selection of our favourites places for Achiltibuie food and drink, dining out in restaurants, pubs & cafes as well as some shopping opportunities. Achiltibuie Garden sell their own produce, at their site and via Achiltibuie Stores.
Explore Coigach Peninsula and discover a breathtaking area that offers boat trips to the Summer Isles, kayaking lessons, walks, tracks and climbs, beautiful beaches, sea and loch fishing, bars, and restaurants, and the area is full of wildlife and history as well as many beautiful villages and ports worth exploring while you are staying with us.

A wonderful week in Gables Cottage . Clean and well equipped with thoughtful additional touches of fresh flowers and chocolate brownies and treats for the dog. Beautiful views from the garden overlooking the Summer Isles. Very quiet and peaceful location with great walks right from the door of the cottage. Linda the owner was extremely welcoming and helpful.

Stayed in Birch chalet for 5 nights. Chalets overlook the summer isles. Wot an amazing view. The whole journey was full of amazing scenery and untouched landscape. A pure geological site for sore eyes. Absolutely breathtaking. The chalet was great and had everything needed for self catering. Beds were comfy, leather sofas etc. A large decking with a gate to keep your pooch in about and outdoor wooden furniture. Beware the midge though if it's damp weather in the area .

Absolutely stunning location! Had a mid week break here and spent every evening sitting out on the large veranda with uninterrupted views out across the summer isles, watching the sun set. Very peaceful! The chalet itself was welcoming and cosy with all the mod cons you would need. With regards to exploring the local area you are surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery and views in Scotland! Had a fantastic, relaxing stay.

Just had a fab week in Fir Chalet. Very comfortable, amazing views and even the weather behaved (mostly!) We really appreciated the delicious shortbread, brownies and raspberry jam. Managed to climb the… Fiddler and Stac Pollaidh, a bit of kayaking and a boat trip round the Summer Isles. Also many thanks Linda for your assistance with our little car mishap 😊
