For a lot of people when they come for their first ever massage they are very nervous and don't really know what to expect. Before any treatment begins the therapist at RJS will explain the procedures of the treatment, go through your medical background, and explain what clothes if any need to be removed.
Prior to any massage therapy taking place you will be asked to complete a health questionnaire. This is designed to highlight any medical reason why massage might be harmful to the subject and that a GP's agreement to massage should be gained. A contraindication is a factor that renders the administration of a treatment being carried out.
There are tremendous benefits to be achieved through regular massage therapy treatments from a registered RJS massage therapist. Whether your need is to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance your overall sense of emotional and physical well-being.
35 - All initial treatments last roughly 50 minutes, this includes, consultation (including medical questionnaire and informed consent), postural analysis, treatment and home care advice. Depending on the needs of the client a variety of techniques are used including Effleurage, Petrissage, Frictions, Compression, Neuromuscular technique, Myofacial release / Connective Tissue, Muscle Energy Technique and Soft Tissue Release.

I cannot recommend Rich enough. After months of having problems with my back and many treatments with someone else I decided to give someone new a try. Thankfully I chose Rich, after one treatment he had resolved the problem. His knowledge is incredible, he thoroughly explains why you’re having the issues and the treatment needed. I wish I had gone to him sooner I could have saved myself a lot of time and money.
