For over 30 years Kenworth Engineering, based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire have been manufacturing bespoke, high quality machined components to the highest standards. Utilising our combined engineering experience of over 150 years, our team of skilled engineers work efficiently using the latest machine tool and CAD-CAM technology enabling us to pass the savings on to you, the client.
Utilising the latest multi-axis CNC machines combined with CAD-CAM software, we can manufacture complex parts from manufacturers drawings and solid 3D models. Our CNC milling machines use a combination of 3, 4 and 5-axis milling to rapidly cut a wide range of engineering-grade thermoplastics and metals into complex shapes and precision components.
This process produces highly accurate tolerances twinned with concentric finishes on diameters. We also use these machines to grind shafts that have been previously hardened, or that have just been machined and require a requested surface finish to achieve the tolerances required. This process is used for finishing internal sizes on work pieces.
We have 2 surface grinders, one covering sizes up to 500mm x 200mm on table travel, and a larger one that has a table travel of 1000mm x 500mm. By surface grinding we are able to ensure a high level of flatness, while achieving a high quality finish and the required tolerances. Again this process can be used on hardened parts or parts previously machined.
