Services
PAT stands for portable Appliance Testing. This is a process by which electrical appliances are routinely checked to see whether they are safe to use. We would inspect, test and certify all your portable appliances and provide advice as to their condition and safety. We would provide a written report together with a test certificate as evidence that your appliances have been inspected and tested in compliance with the Regulations.
We believe that electrical safety is important and that portable appliance testing (PAT Testing) should be made available to everyone, and we understand that the two major factors in this are cost and the worry of being charged for hidden extras such as call out charges and bills for additional labor.
How will I know when my next test is due? We hold records of all clients, together with re-test dates on our database and remind clients when re-tests are due. I run a small business, do I need to have my portable appliances tested? The Electricity at Work Regulations applies to all businesses from multi-nationals to sole traders.

Richard from Gloucestershire PAT Testing was able to help my company at short notice and was able to check a number of items (over 50). I thought it was a very good service as while it identified most of the items were fine it also failed a few items which had the following faults. 1. The earth was bad in a couple of multisocket extension cables. 2. Inverted positive negative in some cables. Richard also reviewed and changed where necessary some fuses to ensure they were correct amps for the equipment. All in all this was a very useful piece of work as it ensured that we were only using safe cables
