Drive School of Motoring are a very established local Driving School that have been offering structured lessons in Basildon and the surrounding areas since 2008. In addition to preparing learner drivers for their driving tests, they also offer a very popular pre 17 scheme for younger drivers that are keen to get a taste before their 17th birthday.

When looking for a driving instructor it was important for me to find someone who was reliable, trustworthy and professional. Other important factors were the instructor's knowledge and experience. I found learning to drive surprisingly easy and have to say that Colin's teaching methods were outstanding and incredible.
With a high level of professionalism and always giving great advice, Debbie helped me with every step and made it possible for me to pass the exam with only 5 classes. I would highly recommend this company if you're young and want to learn to drive, Colin was very reliable and made learning to drive that little bit easier.
When looking for a driving instructor, I was looking for good quality training at good value for money. I must say that learning with Colin Lott from Drive School of Motoring exceeded my expectations and I found his teaching methods very helpful. He quickly picked up on areas of my driving which needed work and helped me to correct them, usually within the same lesson.
Our sessions take place on a private estate in Wickford. The gated location boasts a series of different types of roads, enabling teenagers to negotiate a variety of driving scenarios without the worry of busy traffic. You will be driving in one of our dual control vehicles, introducing you to your future learner experience.

I cannot recommend Colin lott enough. Put me at ease everytime I got in the car I came to him with zero experience in driving and he got me driving with confidence in no time. I managed to pass first time under his instruction with only 2 minors. He made sure I knew everything I needed to and didn't just do it for me to pass my test he made sure I was comfortable doing it daily, so I didnt make silly mistakes whilst driving in my daily life. He was recommended to me by a friend and I must say its the best recommendation I ever had ill be recommending him to my siblings aswell. Thank you so much

A wonderful service from start to finish. The start up process was very professional and outlined exactly what I could expect of Drive School of Motoring, it also laid out exactly what was expected of me as a student. I was taught by Colin who always remained professional, yet always friendly to make me feel comfortable. Colin demonstrated maximum patience even when I was struggling to get the hang of a manoeuvre or two. The best driving school I have gone through.Collin is a calm and experienced instructor who generally focuses on safety aspects of driving.His classes has really helped to improve my observation while driving.Moreover,he always adapts timing of classes according to our requirement. Vasile, another instructor, was equally helpful and cooperative.His lessons helped me a lot during starting of the course.

Debbie has been a fantastic driving instructor since my very first lesson. She was always patient, calm and relaxed, which really put me at ease (especially on off-days). But even better than that Deb is a joy to be around and I always looked forward to my lessons.

Colin has a unique ability to convey information and give instructions in a simple way that can be easily digested, in any situation.
He was consistently calm, collected and positive throughout all of my lessons which made me feel at ease from start to finish.
Over the months I learned to drive, Colin was never late and didn't cancel a single lesson. I loved the way he supported my learning with various visual props and continuously gave feedback. I also appreciated him asking for my input when planning our next session whilst summarising the one we just had. - Nothing was to much trouble and
