Cedar House Orthodontics has been providing outstanding orthodontic care for over 30 years. Many of our patients are now the second generation to receive our top-quality treatment because their parents visited us as children. We also see numerous adult patients who may have missed out on having their teeth treated when they were younger or require work prior to restorative dentistry - after all, it's never too late to transform your smile!
Services
Cedar House was originally opened in response to demand for a local orthodontic service from Northwich dentists, but we now additionally treat patients, following referral, from across Cheshire and beyond. Our thriving practice uses the latest treatment techniques within three well-equipped surgeries.
Removable braces are appliances which patients can put in and take out themselves. These braces are used for minor corrections, normally of the upper teeth, and can be taken out for cleaning or playing sport. They can also be used in conjunction with fixed braces. They consist of a plastic plate with attached wires that move teeth gradually by applying gentle pressure.
This type of brace consists of metal brackets that are glued to the teeth and used in conjunction with thin wires and elastics. This tried and tested treatment is very effective at precisely positioning teeth - which is not always possible with other appliances. Treatment will usually take between 18-24 months.
Functional braces are removable and used to correct prominent teeth in growing children. By repositioning the lower jaw to a more forwards position the functional brace encourages the lower jaw to reach its potential growth position and decrease the prominence of the upper front teeth. The brace comes in two separate parts, a top removable brace and a bottom removable brace, which fit together in the mouth.
This subtle but highly effective treatment uses tailor-made aligners to gradually move teeth to their desired position. It may be suitable for patients with spaced, overcrowded or misaligned teeth who are unwilling to wear more noticeable fixed braces. The beauty of Invasalign is that the straightening process is almost undetectable as the aligners are virtually invisible.

Today I tried to call, listened to their long message, then it said I can leave a message. I started to talk it cut me off. I called again it's just constantly engaged. In March when my Daughter had her last appointment we were 3 minutes late according to my phone. Her appointment was early. We had to get her little Brothers in a breakfast club that didn't open until 8AM. Then rushed to get there from another town. The receptionist talked to me like I was nothing in front of the other people waiting & they refused to see my daughter. It's OK for them to keep us waiting more than 1 hour the time

I don't know how this has suddenly got a few 5 star reviews.
Must be fake.
This practice has had no sense of urgency sorting my bracework out*. I've been waiting 3.5 months for an appointment.
*Bottom teeth have shrunk and top have overlap, left with overbite and open bite - I had to complain & threaten legal action to get a response. I had to be referred to a specialist to confirm the issues.
Update - this original review was 5months ago and the teeth are literally the same.
Prove my review wrong and rectify the issue please.

Having brought both of my sons to Cedar House for treatment to straighten their teeth I can’t recommend them highly enough! They run the practice with super efficiency, whether you are an NHS referral or a private patient, and the result is an incredible smile 😁! We have also had made to measure mouth guards.. Cedar House are competitive on price and offer some great colours.

Had braces fitted at Cedar House practice and was impressed with the treatment I received. I was well informed and and knew what changes/ treatment I needed on every visit. Found all the staff to be very welcoming and professional. The Orthodontist who provided my care was Dr J Cooper. He worked with a fantastic Nurse called Alex. Dr Cooper and Nurse Alex were amazing. I have a slightly irrational fear when it comes to dental/ orthodontic care. Dr Cooper and Alex made me feel very at ease. They are welcoming, professional, caring, managed to make me laugh when I was extremely nervous and appeared

Both our son and daughter have been attending the practice since getting their braces last year. We have always found the staff to friendly and helpful, taking away any pressure that our children have felt about having braces. The orthodontists listen to our children, and answer any of their questions clearly; they also have a sense of humour, which always helps! I would thoroughly recommend Cedar House.

I was extremely impressed with the very professional, prompt and caring service received from the practice for my 13 year old son. Mrs Brindley explained each step of the treatment at each appointment. Her caring and considerate nature meant that my son felt at ease at all his appointments. His braces have now been removed and his teeth look great. A big thank you to her and the whole team.
