Whether enquiring about valuation & advisory services, or viewing artworks in the online gallery, I hope that you find what you are looking for. I specialise in British and European Art from the 18th Century to present day - for my philosophy with regards to the art that I have in stock, please read the introduction in the online Tom Rooth Fine Art catalogue.

As a member of BADA, with comprehensive experience in the art market, I am confident that I'm well placed to assist you. I have been immersed in the London art world for over 20 years. Before setting up independently, I worked at Sotheby's, Polak Gallery, Phillips, Bonhams, and finally Christie's for 14 years, as a Senior Specialist, Director and Head of Department.
Services
It's often been said that to make a small fortune in the art-world, you should start off with a large one. As exciting as it is unpredictable, the art market can be precarious to navigate, with hazards coming in many different forms. Advice and service for restoration, conservation and framing, consulting with independent conservators and restorers.
As each day arises, welcome it as the very best day of all, and make it your own possession. We must seize what flies. Guido Reni's masterpiece L'Aurora was executed in 1614, and the striking image is as powerful today as it would have been to a viewer at the beginning of the 17th Century. Aurora, the Roman goddess of dawn, ushers in the day by leading Apollo, the god of light, across the sky.
Tunnicliffe's influences are particularly broad and far-reaching, ranging from Oriental art to Henri Matisse, from Joseph Crawhall to Paul Gauguin. Certainly in the present painting, the strength and lines of the composition give the work an almost Oriental feel, while the bold forms and shapes are worthy of any work by Gauguin or Matisse.
With a virtuoso hand, combined with an acute observation, appreciation, and understanding of nature, Sue Viner's work marries ancient techniques and knowledge, with a contemporary sense of design and aestheticism. Captivating and mesmerising in equal measures, it is almost impossible to argue as to whether the artworks present best in modern or traditional interiors.
