Herne Bay Bowls Club
Herne Bay Bowling Club is situated in the town's Memorial Park and is approximately 400 yards from the railway station and 500 yards from the seafront. The club was founded in 1926. During the close season, short mat bowls is played in the clubhouse. Visitors to the club will find that the town of Herne Bay has much to offer to enhance their visit.

The seafront has undergone a 3 million pound facelift, which has restored many of the original Victorian features. This together with additional facilities has made Herne Bay very popular with both day-trippers and longer-term visitors. Anyone who is interested in joining our club, as an experienced bowler or new to the game is welcome.
Services
Some were on the verge of going beyond a scannable image and unfortunately some are beyond scanning, this is why I decided to try and preserve some of our photographic history. The very first photo of Bernard seated and surrounded by his supporters was so deteriorated that I nearly gave up on it but I am now glad that I persevered.
